While watching the movie Sergio I constantly was reminded of the Missionaries of the 1700-1800s. I kept thinking that Sergio should not be there, but he had that attitude that he had a good cause, thus he should stay and see it through – but there were warnings that he should leave, but he refused to see them.
I read many missionary stories, and I couldn’t help noticing that there were many missionaries that became mentally-blind to their danger and situation and believed that they were invincible while doing God’s work.
Many were very worthy. They trained as doctors, or in some other field, in countries like England, then they went to some war-torn country to help the fallen, and they were very good at what they did, their faith in God strong, and the people who they helped were many, but as things got worse instead of seeing all the danger signs they just kept on going.
In some cases they left the country and then went back when obviously they should have stayed away and died there.
You see, God can help you “as long as you listen to God and use Common Sense”, and many of the missionaries did use common sense, for a while.
Many were told over and over again to leave an area because the situation was getting worse, but they refused to leave claiming that God had work there (their view not God’s, and they were putting words in God’s mouth) for them to do, so they must remain. Many of the male missionaries at first had a wife and children with them in that foreign country, then the wife and children were sent back to America, England, etc, because of the obvious dangers or chances of war, but the actual male stayed behind claiming that God still had work there for he alone, and then because of his foolishness he would die there, leaving his wife without a husband and her probably doubting God, and children without a father wondering why God allowed their father to die.
In some cases people who knew the situation, the dangers, and would give their missionary friends warnings, sometimes over and over again, but to no avail, and the missionary in question refused o lsiten and think that God would always help he or she, and finally would die there.
Its like the men in the boat that sunk story where God would send people to save the people in the water, but the people in the water would refuse the help that God had given claiming that God would save them, and eventually they died.
We are not suppose to become delusional mentally-blind fools, and we are not supposed to put words in God’s mouth, nor should we be testing God, or allowing our faith to turn in to a mental-blindness that refuses to see common sense anymore.
I have met people who believe in God refuse to listen to common sense because they keep claiming that God has other plans for them. Again and again people tell them that things are not good about something that they are doing or their situation, and they constantly refuse to listen because they claim that the bad situation that they are in is caused by God for something good and only good will come out of it. If they continue they either lose big time and ask where God was when they needed God, or they win and end up worse of, wondering why God didn’t make the win easier and why is it so hard after they won.
We should not desire a situation and then demand or ask God to make it real. We should ask God to guide us and follow that guidance. People struggle in these times with submission and being meek enough to actually follow God instead of their own ego or fake situation (fairytale) that he or she has made up in their own mind and decided that God must (if God loves us) do because we see it as wonderful answer to our problems and God’s problems helping us.
God knows what to do, face it, you don’t. If you life keeps going worng its because you are your own God, and the real God is someone who you pray to but refuse to listen to, or allow to guide you. Materialistic thinking that we have been trained by society to follow and obey has us chasing foolish dreams, foolish living, achievements, and goals, and God wants us to love one another, be Empathy, compassionate, honest good decent people.
People tend to pray to God with their own version of what they think that God wants for them, and refuse to allow God to actually make them happy, especially if God wants them to take risks.
People tend to foolishly think, “I have found God, now God should be honoured by that and give me a happy future.” but the happy future that they want is a Materialistic future of achievements, public success, money, and so on.
What people tend to want is a Hollywood Mr or Mrs Perfect to walk on their arm as something to show off, but they also want that person to be submissive to their wants and so on.
So God shows them the right person, and they run, then they demand in prayers (prayers dressed up as sweet sad asking) that God get them Mr Handsome or Miss Hollywood Beauty Queen, and then God Bless that relationship – God cannot Bless what He did not create or we foolishly demand or what evil gave us.
The only way to have a Blessed life is to be a good decent moral person who prays, submits, trusts God totally, and follows God’s guidance knowing that in the end it will turn out greatly in our own favour.
The reason why the Prince of Darkness owns the world today, is because Materialistic minds train the billions to be ungodly, materialistic, fake, carnal and mentally weak. This is why they say that the path that God puts us on is a narrow path and also why so few want to walk it.
Its hard to shake-off a lifetime of mental brainwashing and grooming by society to be something very ungodly and to take up our cross and become Godly. Becoming Godly means total repentance, cleaning up your past, admitting where you failed yourself and other people, making things right, and being the person who God can help.
God cannot help the ungodly, because the ungodly refuse to believe that God or Evil exist, so they are slaves to their own foolishness, supporters of satanic living, and too prideful to admit their own faults and weaknesses.
The missionaries, and they probably still do this today, go to dangerous situations, and when God tries to get them out they refuse to listen. God always offers a very safe way out, but many refuse to take it.
Your situation with God my also be connected with another person and/or cause.
If that other dies or something bad happens then your part in that situation dies as well. You may need to do something brave and courageous to help someone or a situation but you refuse because your materialistic thinking refuses to bow to God due to pride, worrying what family and other people think. A situation that God puts together cannot remain that situation forever, one day it will collapse. People die, situations change, and we are left in a bad situation of our own making that we cannot get out of anymore, because we had our chance, and we refused to do what was right and good.
Maybe you should rectify a situation, or do something risky and brave – or maybe it is correcting evil, but we refuse God’s asking for help – but see God hates it when we it on the fence and take some of evil and some of good, and God treats us as guilty as those who we protect. If we partake or protect evil, then we are assumed to be evil and will be punished as such once our season is over.
I read about Seasons years ago. It was explained like this. We all have seasons of where we live for a long time as materialistic people and are doomed to suffer through our personal enjoyment of sin and satanic (Materialistic) living.
But, God will come in to our life, if we ask for God’s help, and “for a season” try to change us. It seems that the season can be long or short according to our own desire for sinful living.
During that Season God “Graces” us with protection, help, guidance and such to help us become Born gain, non-satanic, and capable of complete life change, a complete new person. We may from time to time be chastised for our dabbling in past activities and beliefs, and with people from the past who used to influence us in bad ways.
If we refuse and love satanic living and satanic people and refuse then we, at the end of our season, have shown ourselves and God who we want to really be and God will turn away and help others leaving us to our own choices. People ask, why is life hell? The answer is often because we chose this.
It is not up to family and friends what choice you make, its only up to you.
If a person thinks that it is worthy following family and friends of the past off a cliff to doom then that’s their choice. If the want to follow God totally with full faith then that’s a choice. It is you that chooses, and you cannot blame anyone else for your choices good or bad, you were the one that decided.
