The Director is none other than Kevin Costner himself, he also acts as The Postman.

Every time I watch The Postman I wish I had found during my life a woman who would look at me like the woman in the movie looks at the Postman.

I have seen this movie probably about 3 times and every time I have enjoyed it, but not so much the gory scenes of which there are a few, because this movie is about a war with a madman and his army and the Postman.

For all its war and bloodshed the movie is of hope, and love, and adventure, war, and peace, and harmony once again.
The Postman makes friends with a young male called Ford Lincoln Mercury (self-named after the cars) who is inspired by The Postman to recruits people into the newly formed Postal Service.

Abby is a very strong willed and capable woman who when she needs to puts the Postman in his place. There are many likeable characters in the movie, and much courage is shown and bravery rewarded while some innocent people die.
When she needs to she steps up and takes her place doing everything that needs doing and she does it all confidently and efficiently.

Its a time when people have no direction, are lsot, and when they are inspired they form, show courage and faith, and forge forward not afraid to try for what they believe in.

I like a movie about courage, and those who refuse to let tyranny beat them down. If there is a fight to be fought they do it, whether they are teenagers, women or adults, they are in because they can do no other.
