I had a couple of old brackets that were once chromed and now were rust damaged.
I gott the Dremel 3000 out and used a grinding bit and set to wrk grinding off the rust and old chrome.

One bracket in the photos has been grinded and the other has not. I left them this way so you can see what the Dremel can do.

The brackets after they have been cleaned up could be chromed again, painted maybe, or polished.
