Are You Stuck in a Ground Hog Loop?

I can think of more than a few people I know who are stuck in a loop. They can change their life, situation, and so on but they don’t, they just suffer, are miserable and many pray to God asking God why God does not save them.

The likeness to your life and the movie Groundhog Day may be more than you on-the-surface think.
First he is a nasty grump, clearly a non-believer in anything other than himself.

Because his day/situation repeats over and over again he is forced to deal with what he doesn’t want to deal with, mostly his own character.
At first with the day-loops he just tries to enjoy his selfish ways, but as time goes on he gets tired of it all, and then he finds that he likes the woman that he works with, especially once he gets to know her.
During our lives we carelessly judge others and expect to be judged ourselves as good honourable people, yet we don’t do this for others.

We pass true love due to not getting to know the person properly.
Instead we judge the person by their appearance, what people tell us of that person, we judge them by their job-status, titles, financial gain, pridefully we refuse to see the genuine love right before us.

In Groundhog Day, the movie,  he got to know the woman and then as he got to know her more and also his character was changing, he became a receiver of her good character – his mind was so prideful before this he refused to see anything other than his own self and what he demanded of life. You see, his character changed and he got to know her better, and from this he came to realize that he had been a fool and that true love was there right before him all the time.

If the movie Groundhog Day is an example then being stuck in a loop like that is a good thing, after all his character changed from bad to good and he got to open his mind up a bit more and cast away foolish pride, and old prejudices, and he started to see other people differently, and he was now doing nice things for people, he even learned how to do new things like play the piano.
What he was having was an Awakening. In the past somehow he had changed from a nice child to a nasty prideful adult, the awakening is the revelation that he was not who he once thought that he was.
An Awakening tends to open our eyes beyond our pride and denials and we start to see things as they really are, especially ourselves and other people.

We, you and me, could look at our lives and wonder, “Am I stuck in a loop, and is God holding me here for a reason?”

Is pride holding you back from freedom?
Are you putting words into God’s mouth and claiming that you know whats best fro you and asking God to be your fairy god mother and zap you a miracle (even though you don’t deserve it?)?

The first rule of change is facing the truths of your life.
A major step is asking yourself, “Am I allowing pride to hold me back from God’s Blessings?”

Life cannot get better for us until we face the truths, face ourselves, and see who we are in reality and not the fairytale we often pretend that we are.
Facing facts gets things done.
