Location History data

I had not realized that I was being tracked wherever I went. I got this email today:

James, here’s your new Timeline update
You’re receiving this monthly email because you turned on Location History, a Google Account-level setting that saves where you go in your private Timeline.
Location History data also helps give you personalised information on Google, including better restaurant recommendations, and suggestions for a faster commute. You can view, edit and delete this data anytime in Timeline.

I can only guess that I turned this feature on and they then emailed me an update of the places I had been, you can too.

Please never be so deluded that you believe that your Government is not tracking you. Your cell phone is their tracking device and the information of everywhere you go is recorded.

Image 5 shows how technology can get things wrong.
I park the security car at the St Andrews Drive and Balmoral intersection which is next to Strathmore Park, but I don’t go to Strathmore park.
I have not been (probably ever into Toko Dairy, but I do regularity go to Kiwi Takeaways which is nearby.

When I am in town during the day the Library is an excellent place to meet friends, use the toilets and get a good book.

I visited no cities, and the data is not so accurate that it can pinpoint exactly where I was.

But it is an interesting idea, and could be useful if you had forgotten where you had been the last month or what a shops name was and this could possibly help you.

An interesting idea that needs perfecting.
