As the “joke interview” went on they told her how the husband had gone on a trip, taking the money with him and with another younger woman, and wanted the wife to leave the house (something like that), and the wife went into hateful statements and was abusive and completely lost control of herself.
The reason I mention this is that she allowed simple talk from some people (two radio personalities) to herself to completely convince her in a few minutes of how she was being dumped, was being rejected ‘by the man she loved’ and her hate rose to the surface with a vengeance. She sounded fit to kill her husband at the end.

This is the power of gossip. All you need is “talk”. A simple conversation can kill years of friendship and happiness. I know because it has happened to me. It is very very sad, and yet amazing that people will listen to a total stranger, family or friend and completely turn against all that they knew about you before, to take on a completely false belief about you and your character.

As the saying goes, “Talk is cheap!”
How a person lives, acts and is, is who that person is. Not some common gossip and lies. We need to get it straight that haters will not give you a good opinion about someone. We need to follow our heart, instincts, and what we have known and experienced with a person to help us understand who that person is, not from some cheap words from a hater.
○
A good example is at work. If one person has the bosses ear, he or she can use that privileged position to “inform” the boss of other people in the workforce’s character to save their own job and to protect themself. Yet all he or she tells can be lies. The boss takes the side of the informer and the innocent person gets victimized or sacked in the future.
*
A jealous sister can tell her younger (more gullible) sister that the guy that the younger sister has fallen in love with is a bad person, been to jail, a rapist or whatever, and the younger sister gullibly believing that her older sister loves her and truly wants to protect her turns with hate onto the poor innocent guy who has completely no idea what has happened and why she hates him all of a sudden.
*
The boss who fears the intelligence (feels threatened) by the talents and abilities of a new worker can inform the big boss in another city or town of mostly only bad reports of the new worker to make sure that they will never promote the new worker. The boss who feels threatened will always win because he or she “has the ear and trust’ of the big bosses who are too far away to make a honest judgment of the new worker and his or her character and true abilities.
*
There are many examples of people being seduced by others to falsely judge people. Innocent people are victimized and treated harshly for things that he or she did not do, and the power that turned friends, family and those they love against them is some talk, gossip and lies!
