Daniel

All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute,

and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.

 

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

Daniel knew about the changes that had been put in place and he new of the risks that he took, but he still did what he believed was right, because he knew that God would protect him, and God did.

This is an example that we should live by.

 

It takes courage to stand strong against others who try to cause us strife. It takes shaky courage sometimes but still it is courage, and we can feel overwhelmed by the task ahead of us.

But even so, we will still do what we must because it is the doing what is right in our hearts that overrides our personal worries. When the laws are etched in your spiritual heart then you will do as you know that you should do.

 

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law…

 

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

 

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

 

The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

 

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

The Bible has many places that show us that throughout history God’s children are not to fear. We are to walk in His ways and not fear because our God is near protecting us. When we accept Christ and we are dedicated to God’s ways we also accept God’s protection and grace in our lives.

 

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

God protects those of us who love God in deep faith, and those who show their love through dedication to become new with God’s guidance.

Danger threatened Daniel yet he continued to follow his faith in the things that he did, publicly and behind closed doors.

Daniel was known for his good behavior.

When we follow God there are the weak people who are easily dragged to low levels by their weakness and willingness to sin and these people are easily drawn to do the work of Satan to use, mislead and confuse us.

Good decent people have enemies and their enemies are the weak minded.

Daniel’s enemies tried to find fault in him, they plotted against him when they could not find fault in Daniel. Determined enemies will find a way given time, anger and hatred. And when they do, that is when we must trust God deeply.

 

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

 

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Had Daniel been weak in the faith then he would have given in and lost his relationship with God due to fear of mans laws or peoples demands.

If we fellowship in heart and soul with strong prayers and faith then we come closer to God and have a strong relationship with Him.

Daniel’s faith was strong and sustained him.

We must have innocent faith, like the faith of a child who has no doubts and believes strong.

The innocent mind will easily take in God because the corruption of evil hasn’t been introduced into it to cause fears and doubts.

Faith in the Living God brings peace, composure and courage.

When we know that we are protected then we know that we have nothing to fear. God won’t allow you to be hurt if you are lovingly and truthful following

His ways. This means that you are not wanting to follow the ways of evil. God will protect you when He leads you, have no fear.

People may give us fears and taunt us but we can be assured that God will protect us. God’s angels will protect you and I.

 

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Hebrews Chapter 1, verse 14:

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

 

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

 

I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

As Proverbs Chapter 16, verse 7 states, if our ways please God then He will make our enemies at peace with us.

You were made to stand strong and be courageous.

The ways that God has saved many before you He will also protect you.

Many of those who God protected did not think of themselves as being worthy of protection,

but once they understood how they have been hurt, mislead and abused through their lives they were amazed to find in themselves innocence, humbleness and much love for themself, for God and for others.

 

God sees in us what we don’t at first see.
