People can put on a great act to impress us. But their actions and activities show their real character. Look carefully, and be willing to face the truth no matter how much it hurts for now. The truth will set you free.

“How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these.” – George Washington Carver.

Over the years some people come into our life and we can not recognise their value in our life because they are humble and have unselfishly boosted and encouraged us and lifted our life while going unnoticed while we shine. When they are gone (probably because we felt no need for them anymore) we suddenly feel an emptiness in our lives, we feel that something is missing, a gentle sadness replaces the in our souls. Modern society shows us to value what is in our face, what shines, what is exiting, glamorous, and loud, while the gentle, humble, loving and meek often go unnoticed, yet they are the building blocks to a good wholesome society that people are always complaining that we don’t have. 🌿 When they say, “Take the time to stop and smell those roses.” it reminds me that we should take the time to stop what we are doing and appreciate the gentle angels in our lives that make our world so very precious, fun, and they make life so much more worth living. 🌿 All the best from James M Sandbrook.

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said “I don’t think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat.” “Is the man of the house home?”, they asked. “No”, she said. “He’s out.”

“Then we cannot come in”, they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened. “Go tell them I am home and invite them in!” The woman went out and invited the men in.

“We do not go into a House together,” they replied. “Why is that?” she wanted to know.

One of the old men explained: “His name is Wealth,” he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, “He is Success, and I am Love.”
Then he added, “Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home.”

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. “How nice!!”, he said. “Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!”

His wife disagreed. “My dear, why don’t we invite Success?”

Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: “Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!”

“Let us heed our daughter-in-law’s advice,” said the husband to his wife. “Go out and invite Love to be our guest.”

The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, “Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest.”

Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him.

Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: “I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?”

The old men replied together: “If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would’ve stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success ♥

Repentance is the activity of reviewing one’s actions and feeling contrition or regret for past wrongs.
Today, it is generally seen as involving a commitment to personal change and the resolve to live a more responsible and humane life. In other words, being sorry for one’s misdeeds.
But it can also involve sorrow over a specific sin or series of sins that an individual feels he or she has committed. – Wikipedia.

Life will always present things to worry about. There will always be concerns in this world that vie for our time and attention. We have to learn how to deal with these things in a biblical way so that they don’t hold us back. We may be tempted to worry, but worry isn’t the answer. Worry gets us nowhere. It doesn’t add anything to us nor does it change our circumstances. The only thing worry will change is your attitude. Worry will make you frustrated, irritable and suspicious. Worry will distract you, steal your energy and choke your blessing! – Mukesh Singh.

Nothing worth having comes easy. Don’t look back you are not going that way. Do something today that your future self will thank you for. If we wait until we are ready we will be waiting for the rest of our lives. You decide every moment of every day who you are and what you believe in. You get a second chance every second that goes by. Change your thoughts and you change your world. You have to get up in the morning and tell yourself “I can do this!” You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it. One day this pain will make sense to you. Discipline is choosing between “what you want now” and “What you want The Most!” -Author Unknown.

Today will be different than any other day of my life. I BOLDLY DECLARE that my miracles are manifesting NOW and I am receiving all the good that belongs to me. My love is here, my success is here, my purpose is here, my happiness is here!!! Today I will receive a supernatural miracle. Whatever is in the way must VANISH IMMEDIATELY. I decided this to be true and there is NOTHING that can change it!!! GOOD MORNING!!! – Shanel Cooper-Sykes May 5, 2015 at 1:36am.

When you want to say no, then say it. You don’t have to explain why you say “No!” Other people need to respect you, they have no right whatsoever to demand an explanation from you. And sometimes we say “No!” and we don’t know why, it is just a feeling and we cannot explain that. Be strong and if “No!” is what you want to say and stand by then do so. Don’t bow down and compromise your values and beliefs because of bullies – even if they are family or friends. Stand strong! ° All the best from James M Sandbrook. 4th of May 2014.

If you are going to let the men play with you, try you out, have fun with you so that you lose respect for yourself and others lose respect for you, then don’t wonder why he walks away to try out another girl when you are pregnant etc. Be wise. Go for guys who are responsible and who will marry you for love. The nice guy will stick around and help you bring up the baby, and he will love and honour his wife because she was looking for him while he was looking for such a soul as her.

Victim Blaming. Narcissists do it because others will be more likely to believe their “victim status” in the future, which makes it easier for others to get taken advantage of by their manipulations. It’s also used to discredit you, just in case you did decide to reveal some of their shady behaviour, if people think you’re a “bad person” they will be much less likely to listen, even if it’s the truth. My ex told people that “I beat her” after I broke up with her when I couldn’t stand HER abuse anymore. It’s a very twisted thing to be treated like a devil when you’ve done nothing wrong, but it’s unfortunately a very effective manipulation strategy. Long story short, it’s part of a narcissistic burn campaign. It sucks, and the people that do it are jerks. Next they’ll start spreading the word of your “bad qualities” and after that, you’ll have no chance of anyone listening to you because they’ll already assume the worst about you. – S Ben. Ever faced a big life decision and felt unsure about which way to go? Whether it was leaving a relationship, moving to an unfamiliar place, quitting a safe job or spending a large amount of money — many of us find ourselves facing big life decisions with little or no tools to help us make the best choice. Sure. You can ask family and friends for their opinion, but often you leave those conversations more confused than when you started. Plus, I truly believe that at the end of the day — you are your wisest advisor. You have a natural knowing within you that transcends logic, reason and experience — and most definitely other people’s opinions. The problem is that most of us haven’t been taught how to access or trust our inner wisdom. If you’ve ever stressed and wondered, “Should I really do this?!?” You’ll learn a simple, but genius, test I’ve used throughout my adult life that’s helped me make major life-changing decisions, fast. The best part is that no matter what the outcome, you feel sure in your bones that you made the best and wisest choice for you. Because in my experience, whether I succeeded or failed was irrelevant once I was clear that the path I was taking was truly what I wanted. I owned it and knew with 100% certainty that no matter what happened, I made the best decision for me. https://youtu.be/IZ1T6SBJ7CQ

We need to teach our daughters to distinguish between a man who: Flatters her and a man who compliments her A man who – spends money on her and a man who invests in her, a man who – views her as property and a man who views her properly A man who – lusts after her and a man who loves her. A man who – believes he is God’s gift to women and a man who remembers that a woman is a gift to man – Author Unknown. We need to teach our daughters that innocence is something to want, that love is a powerful fuel to a happier life, to look forward to having a new family, and that gentleness does not mean that she is weak, it means that she is kind and someone worth knowing and loving. We need to teach our daughter to love herself so she will have the confidence to deal with life and know how to enjoy it as the years progress. We need to listen to our daughters because they have something to say, they are people too and need our love and respect too. Just like sons, daughters are treasures to bless our lives. Remember that the more time that you put into something with love, that is what you will get back – your son or daughters love and friendship. And it will come back to you in an adult friendship that is very special. They will be there for you as you were for them. All the best from James M Sandbrook.

The Awakening By Sonny Carroll There comes a time in your life when you finally get it … When in the midst of all your fears and insanity you stop dead in your tracks and somewhere the voice inside your head cries out “ENOUGH! Enough fighting and crying or struggling to hold on.” And, like a child quieting down after a blind tantrum, your sobs begin to subside, you shudder once or twice, you blink back your tears and through a mantle of wet lashes you begin to look at the world from a new perspective. This is your awakening. You realize that it is time to stop hoping and waiting for something, or someone, to change, or for happiness, safety and security to come galloping over the next horizon. You come to terms with the fact that there aren’t always fairytale endings (or beginnings for that matter) and that any guarantee of “happily ever after” must begin with you. Then a sense of serenity is born of acceptance. So you begin making your way through the “reality of today” rather than holding out for the “promise of tomorrow.” You realize that much of who you are, and the way you navigate through life is, in great part, a result of all the social conditioning you’ve received over the course of a lifetime. And you begin to sift through all the nonsense you were taught about:- how you should look and how much you should weigh, – what you should wear and where you should shop, – where you should live or what type of car your should drive, – who you should sleep with and how you should behave, – who you should marry and why you should stay, – the importance of bearing children or what you owe your family, Slowly you begin to open up to new worlds and different points of view. And you begin re-assessing and re-defining who you are and what you really believe in. And you begin to discard the doctrines you have outgrown, or should never have practiced to begin with. You accept the fact that you are not perfect and that not everyone will love, appreciate or approve of who or what you are… and that’s OK… they are entitled to their own views and opinions. And, you come to terms with the fact that you will never be a size 5 or a “perfect 10″…. Or a perfect human being for that matter… and you stop trying to compete with the image inside your head or agonizing over how you compare. And, you take a long look at yourself in the mirror and you make a promise to give yourself the same unconditional love and support you give so freely to others. Then a sense of confidence is born of self-approval. And, you stop maneuvering through life merely as a “consumer” hungry for your next fix, a new dress, another pair of shoes or looks of approval and admiration from family, friends or even strangers who pass by. Then you discover that “it is truly in giving that we receive [1] and that the joy and abundance you seek grows out of the giving. And you recognize the importance of “creating” & “contributing” rather than “obtaining” & “accumulating.” And you give thanks for the simple things you’ve been blessed with, things that millions of people upon the earth can only dream about – a full refrigerator, clean running water, a soft warm bed, the freedom of choice and the opportunity to pursue your own dreams. And you begin to love and to care for yourself. You stop engaging in self-destructive behaviors, including participating in dysfunctional relationships. You begin eating a balanced diet, drinking more water and exercising. And because you’ve learned that fatigue drains the spirit and creates doubt and fear, you give yourself permission to rest. And just as food is fuel for the body, laughter is fuel for the spirit and so you make it a point to create time for play. Then you learn about love and relationships – how to love, how much to give in love, when to stop giving and when to walk away. And you allow only the hands of a lover who truly loves and respects you to glorify you with his touch. You learn that people don’t always say what they mean or mean what they say, intentionally or unintentionally, and that not everyone will always come through and interestingly enough, it’s not always about you. So, you stop lashing out and pointing fingers or looking to place blame for the things that were done to you or weren’t done for you. And you learn to keep your Ego in check and to acknowledge and redirect the destructive emotions it spawns; anger, jealousy and resentment. You learn how to say I was wrong and to forgive people for their own human frailties. You learn to build bridges instead of walls and about the healing power of love as it is expressed through a kind word, a warm smile or a friendly gesture. And, at the same time, you eliminate any relationships that are hurtful or fail to uplift and edify you. You stop working so hard at smoothing things over and setting your needs aside. You learn that feelings of entitlement are perfectly OK and that it is your right to want or expect certain things. And you learn the importance of communicating your needs with confidence and grace. You learn that the only cross to bear is the one you choose to carry and that eventually martyrs are burned at the stake. Then you learn to distinguish between guilt, and responsibility and the importance of setting boundaries and learning to Say NO. You learn that you don’t know all the answers, it’s not your job to save the world and that sometimes you just need to Let Go. Moreover, you learn to look at people as they really are and not as you would want them to be and you are careful not to project your neediness or insecurities onto a relationship. You learn that you will not be more beautiful, more intelligent, more lovable or important because of the man on your arm or the child that bears your name. You learn that just as people grow and change, so it is with love and relationships and that that not everyone can always love you the way you would want them to. So you stop appraising your worth by the measure of love you are given. And suddenly you realize that it’s wrong to demand that someone live their life or sacrifice their dreams just to serve your needs, ease your insecurities, or meet “your” standards and expectations. You learn that the only love worth giving and receiving is the love that is given freely without conditions or limitations. And you learn what it means to love. So you stop trying to control people, situations and outcomes. You learn that “alone” does not mean “lonely” and you begin to discover the joy of spending time “with yourself” and “on yourself.” Then you discover the greatest and most fulfilling love you will ever know. Self Love. And so it comes to pass that, through understanding, your heart heals; and now all new things are possible. Moving along, you begin to avoid Toxic people and conversations. And you stop wasting time and energy rehashing your situation with family and friends. You learn that talk doesn’t change things and that unrequited wishes can only serve to keep you trapped in the past. So you stop lamenting over what could or should have been and you make a decision to leave the past behind. Then you begin to invest your time and energy to affect positive change. You take a personal inventory of all your strengths and weaknesses and the areas you need to improve in order to move ahead, you set your goals and map out a plan of action to see things through. You learn that life isn’t always fair and you don’t always get what you think you deserve and you stop personalizing every loss or disappointment. And you stop looking for guarantees, because you’ve learned that the only thing you can really count on is the unexpected and that whatever happens, you’ll learn to deal with it. And you learn that the only thing you must truly fear is the great robber baron of all time – FEAR itself. So you learn to step right into and through your fears, because to give into fear is to give away the right to live life on your terms. You learn that much of life truly is a self-fulfilling prophesy and you learn to go after what you want and not to squander your life living under a cloud of indecision or feelings of impending doom. …Slowly, you begin to take responsibility for yourself by yourself and you make yourself a promise to never betray yourself and to never ever settle for less than your heart’s desire. And a sense of power is born of self-reliance. And you live with honor and integrity because you know that these principles are not the outdated ideals of a by-gone era but the mortar that holds together the foundation upon which you must build your life. And you make it a point to keep smiling, to keep trusting and to stay open to every wonderful opportunity and exciting possibility. Then you hang a wind chime outside your window to remind yourself what beauty there is in Simplicity. Finally, with courage in your heart and with God by your side you take a stand, you TAKE a deep breath and you begin to design the life you want to live as best as you can. A word about the Power of Prayer: In some of my darkest, most painful and frightening hours, I have prayed, not for the answers to my prayers or for material things, but for my “God” to help me find the strength, confidence and courage to persevere; to face each day and to do what I must do. Remember this:- You are an expression of the almighty. The spirit of God resides within you and moves through you. Open your heart, speak to that spirit and it will heal and empower you. My “God” has never failed me. Copyright © 2001 Sonny Carroll. All Rights Reserved

God installed in every heart the will to succeed, the fire to go forth, and the desire to win. He needed to put this in us so that we could go up against our adversary Satan and win. All we need to do is believe in God, and believe that we have the fire, the desire and ability to win, and win again and again. You are courage and courage is you. Know this. Believe this. It is true. Keep an honorable loving heart in the face of trials and troubles. Keep your mind decent and loving in the face of temptations. Keep believing. Every person who claims to follow God will be tested, and tested strong, but they have the control, the power and the ability to fight past that temptation to stay with God because they know that down there in that tender heart of theirs they want a true life, a life of love, a decent life, a new beginning, a new chance. God can make it happen, believe with hope, believe with faith, and show your belief with action. If you have a desire, and God put that amazing desire in your heart, and that desire is driving your soul, and you can feel that desire throughout your whole body, then it is good, and it is yours to go forth and take. God will make a way for the impossible to be possible because God cares and believes in you, and in your future and in your heart. God wants to make your life alright for you. Trust In Him! All the best from James M Sandbrook.

Some thoughts I have on love: “True love is two people willing to work around each others problems until each ones “ups and downs” become their interesting characters.” Having love, being love makes us complete to fulfill our destiny together. Two are better than one. Two makes life sharing so much more important and fun. Sharing life with someone else becomes a spiritual journey surrounded by spiritual comfort and serenity. Simply walking the streets arms linked in belonging, or hands held in “this is so a awesome, I am with you” and it’s all about belonging to someone else and feeling good and relaxed just being in their space. It is comforting being with that person. Love is not about an intense fling for an afternoon, love is about a long-lasting joy with someone who is an awesome friend, a great partner, a companion to share with, and be with in all totallness. Love can be worn in ones heart day and night whether they be together or apart, and yet still have that comforting feeling of being content, and that no matter what happens they can deal with it together. Simple touches, secret glances, special smiles, knowing looks and living as if every moment together is some special secret life you both live. Being in love is, we hurt together, we go down together, we rise triumphantly together, we are one together. We share, because we care. Being in love is “being real, strong and courageous together” it is holding each other up when one is feeling so down. Spiritually love fills two souls with a meaning to live, feeling wanted, needing someone, having someone need you. This is what makes life complete. It is what we live for. The human need to feel love cures many illnesses and brings great comfort to the soul. ° It doesn’t matter what she looks like, her face, hair, clothes, and other physical attributes don’t matter – its what you see in her eyes that bring her beauty to you – this is where she shines – here is her real beauty, here is her deep inner sensitive love. God made her like this for her future man, her husband. Genesis 2:18. ° The nicest words you could hear other than “I love you!” are probably “Welcome home, please stay!” ° All the best from James M Sandbrook. August 9, 2012.

Once there was a King who received a gift of two magnificent falcons. They were peregrine falcons, the most beautiful birds he had ever seen. He gave the precious birds to his head falconer to be trained. Some months passed, and one day the head falconer informed the king that although one of the falcons was flying majestically, soaring high in the sky, the other bird had not moved from its branch since the day it had arrived. The King was surprised and in an effort to solve this problem summoned healers and sorcerers from all over the land to help the falcon to fly. But no one could make the bird fly. The King presented the task to the members of his court, but after a week the King was told that the bird had still not moved from its perch. Having tried everything else, the King thought to himself, “May be I need someone more familiar with the countryside to understand the nature of this problem.” So he cried out to his court, “Go and get a farmer.” In the morning, the King was thrilled to see the falcon soaring high above the palace gardens. He said to his court, “Bring me the doer of this miracle.” The court quickly located the farmer, who came and stood before the king. The King asked him, “How did you make the falcon fly?” With his head bowed, the farmer said to the King, “It was very easy, your highness. I simply cut the branch where the bird was sitting.” ° We are all made to fly — to realize our incredible potential as human beings. But at times we sit on our branches, clinging to the things that are familiar to us. The possibilities are endless, but for most of us, they remain undiscovered. We conform to the familiar, the comfortable, and the mundane. We can allow society to make the rules of our lives and we follow along believing this is how we should live. For the most part, our lives can be mediocre instead of exciting, thrilling and fulfilling. Let us learn to destroy the branch of fear we cling to and free ourselves to the glory of flight! – Author Unknown.

The False Human Belief: As a man was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime can break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not. He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. “Well,” trainer said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.” The man was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were. Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before? ○ Moral: Failure is a part of learning. We should never give up the struggle in life. You Fail not because you are destined to fail, but because there are lessons which you need to learn as you move on with your life.

• What is meant by love? Love means knowing that no matter what, you have someone to count on. It’s unconditional and makes you feel good on the inside. You can trust the person you love and are comfortable around them. It’s like your heart tells you that it is good for you. ○ • How do you define love? It is time to change the meaning of the word “love.” The word is mostly used according to the first definition given in the dictionary: “an intense feeling of deep affection.” In other words, love is what one feels. … Love should be seen not as a feeling but as an enacted emotion. To love is to feel and act lovingly. ○ • What is love in the Bible? 1 Corinthians 13:4-5: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” ○ • What is the real love? Love is unconditional. The word “unconditional” means that there are no expectations or limitations set. To love unconditionally is a difficult thing, and most humans aren’t good at that. But true love really does love without trying to change the other person. ○ • Is Love is an emotion? Like hunger, love is a drive. The other person becomes a goal in your life, and you may go through many emotions as you focus on winning him or her. We tend to identify love most often with euphoria, but that is hardly the only emotion we feel. ○ • What is the definition of true love? True love is a strong and lasting affection between spouses or lovers who are in a happy, passionate and fulfilling relationship. An example of true love is the emotion shared between a couple who has been married for 40 years and who are still passionate about each other and care deeply for each other. ○ • What is love for? Love is involuntary. … The ancient Greeks called love “the madness of the gods.” Modern psychologists define it as it the strong desire for emotional union with another person. But what, actually, is love. It means so many different things to different people. ○ • What God has joined together? The injunction is taken from the Bible, Matthew 19:6. It appears first in print in English in Miles Covedale’s Bible, 1535: Now are they not twayne then, but one flesh. Let not man therfore put a sunder, yt which God hath coupled together. ○ – Google Questions.

Love is a spiritual connection, a spiritual embrace that joins people together. Love is sweet, caring, kind, happy, refreshing, and good. There is a feeling of wanting to be with the ones that you love. And if you are away from them, you miss them very much and so want to be with them, close to them, sharing time with them, or just sitting with them, just something with them. Wanting to be with those that we love deeply affects our physical being and we can become ill from not being with the person that “completes us”. Love is not silly, not simply physical (or though a cuddle is two hearts coming together in love and physical contact is so gently nice), love is being wanted and wanting others just because they are in your inner-heart, deeply embedded. You can even feel at a loss when that special person is not with you. When he or she leaves to go somewhere, you miss them and want them back as soon as they leave. And you will be looking forward to that smile again when they come back in. Due to the extensive, and I do mean extensive coverage of love being shown as a physical thing and only that, or possibly physical with a liking for someone many people today are missing out on the greatest emotional and beautiful spiritual feeling that exists, and has ever existed. The feeling of love is so pure, and goes very deep, and is hard to describe. You have to feel it to know it, but it is free to everyone. It is full contentment. Deeply comfortable. Nice, and I do mean that, nice, very, very nice. It is like climbing into a warm soft bed after being in the cold for hours and being very tired – you feel so snug, so warm, so comforted, so deep in it, so restful and very content. – change that into a spiritual emotional feeling with another person then that is what love feels like. You just don’t want to let it go, and as far as a husband or wife is concerned it can only come from the one person that fills your heart and soothes your soul and completes you physically. The movies and other forms of entertainment confuse our young who want to know about love, the others talk and teach of the physical side of love but miss the true meaning of love. We cannot expect our children to know what love is and to make the right choices where marriage is concerned if they are so emotionally mixed up and confused. A good understanding of love and life are important to helping our young understand. A gentle knowledge of Christ and what Jesus taught is very important. Children need to learn to have a gentle nature, caring, and sharing – doing things for others and themselves. Not to be selfish and Jesus showed us and taught love, real true gentle spiritual love. Love does not bring death, it brings life. When you love yourself you can look into the mirror, and look deeply into your eyes and smile a happy contented smile. If you cannot do this then you must be upset at something that you are doing in your life. Its time to change, repeat, and accept Christ. And trust God. And true love will be yours too. God created love for the very reason of keeping people together, and it is His great gift to us to help us deal with each and every day of our loves. ○ All the best from James M Sandbrook.

“A backwoods farmer, sitting on the steps of his tumbledown shack, was approached by a stranger who stopped for a drink of water. “How’s your wheat coming along?” asked the stranger “Didn’t plant any” “Really? I thought this was good wheat country.” “Afraid it wouldn’t rain.” “Oh. Well, how’s your corn crop?” “Ain’t got any,”said the farmer. “Didn’t you plant any corn, either?” “Nope, afraid of corn blight.” “For Pete’s sake,” said the stranger. “What did you plant?” “Nothin’,” said the farmer. “I just played it safe.” Fear kept him taking risks, and as a result, he lost out. – A L Kirkpatrick.

A man and his dog were walking along a road… A man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead. He remembered dying, and that the dog walking beside him had been dead for years. He wondered where the road was leading them. After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, it was broken by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight. When he was standing before it he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that looked like mother-of-pearl, and the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold. He and the dog walked toward the gate, and as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side. When he was close enough, he called out, ‘Excuse me, where are we?’ ‘This is Heaven, sir,’ the man answered. ‘Wow! Would you happen to have some water I am thirsty its hot?’ the man asked. ‘Of course, sir. Come right in, and I’ll have some ice water brought right up.’ The man gestured, and the gate began to open. ‘Can my friend,’ gesturing toward his dog, ‘come in and have some water?’ the traveller asked. ‘I’m sorry, sir, but we don’t accept pets.’ The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road and continued the way he had been going with his dog. After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to a dirt road leading through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed. There was no fence. As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and reading a book. ‘Excuse me!’ he called to the man. ‘Do you have any water?’ ‘Yeah, sure, there’s a pump over there, come on in.’ ‘How about my friend here?’ the traveller gestured to the dog. ‘There should be a bowl by the pump.’ They went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old-fashioned hand pump with a bowl beside it. The traveller filled the water bowl and took a long drink himself, then he gave some to the dog. When they were full, he and the dog walked back toward the man who was standing by the tree. ‘What do you call this place?’ the traveller asked. ‘This is Heaven,’ he answered. ‘Well, that’s confusing,’ the traveller said. ‘The man down the road said that was Heaven, too.’ ‘Oh, you mean the place with the gold street and pearly gates? Nope That’s Hell.’ ‘Doesn’t it make you mad for them to use your name like that?’ ‘No, we’re just happy that they screen out the folks who would leave their best friend behind… – Author Unknown.

If you want to be what everyone else claims that you cannot be and you want it so bad, and you want it often and you think of it often, and it has become a desire for a better future for you and your future family then there is one thing that you really, really need to do to get things going.
○ “You Have To Try!”
○ You have to do something, make something of it. Make a choice. Dreams are nothing but mist in the mind that blows away with time if they are not created and constructed and formed in the real world. To make your dreams come true go to it! Make them happen.
○ Get started.
○ Make sure that it is you that is the force, the power, the director of your own future. Be sure that God is overseeing it all and helping you make it happen!
○ “So, make it happen!”

A crossroad in life is a place that we come to that has set before us the same path that we are on, and another path that is something new, something out of our comfort zone, something challenging and exciting. All choices at a “life crossroad” will point you in a direction that will shape your future. Choose wisely, but please don’t be afraid of change, having a go, and experiencing a new life direction. While the “same old thing” may seem comforting, “something new” will bring out the best in you and give you a chance to create a new future more suited for your values, ideas and dreams, and how you want your future family to be. Change is everywhere, embrace it and grow! All the best from James M Sandbrook. 24 August 2016.

Sometimes the world seems so lonely, even with many people all around us. At times like that we may feel that people don’t want us around, don’t love us or need us. And it can seem like we are not worthy, not needed, and that we are alone. Your value and self worth is not measured in how much other people appreciate you or want you around. Your value is within you, what you think, what you love, who you are, and what you want in the world. I found out that at the most trying times of my life the more that I reached out the more that people appreciated this effort from my heart and soul. Even when haters created lies and stories about me that were not true, when they tried to hurt me and bring me down, I just kept reaching out to others, others who wanted and needed a helping hand, and they appreciated me and felt blessed by my life and that in turn made me feel appreciated, worthy and useful. This lifted me up and gave me hope again. Some people, due to their toxic nature, can be very cruel, but we don’t have to be like them. We can retaliate as they attacked, or we can be kind, helpful and show them another way, and they may change for the better for having known you – the choice is theirs, you just be the wonderful soul that you are, be the best that you can be, and no one cal ask more of you. Please be the wonderful soul that you were born to be, just let that natural kindness, charity, love and friendship touch other peoples’ lives and you will be heavily rewarded with good, honest true friends. Some people don’t appreciate kindness, that is a reflection of the hurt and sadness within them, they will hopefully see the wonder that is you and will appreciate the magic and goodness that you are spreading in the world. Be yourself and the right people, people of like-mind will be attracted to you. They will be your true family, friends, and your tribe! You will never feel lonely again, just blessed. People who had love, took that person for granted, then they lose them because someone took them away, because being away make them happier than being taken for granted. zzzzz
💔 Bread put it this way: “Is there someone you know, Your loving them so, But taking them all for granted? You may lose them one day Someone takes them away, And they don’t hear the words you long to say.”
💔 Perhaps we don’t see people that we have had around us who have done so much for us selflessly for their real worth, we only see how they have been of use to us and assumed that they will always be there for us, and then when they are gone, we now see and feel the empty spot in our life and heart, and then we finally realize what we have lost, and by then it is often too late.
🌿 But relationships don’t have to be this way. With courage, faith, love and hope, we can make it work out by appreciating the effort someone has made for us and returning the love in kind.
🌿 All the best from

You can’t change a persons dreams by force, or hate, or pressure, or pats on the head. A dream is a deep set thing in the heart and the person who has them is the only one who can do something about the dreams that fill their heart. This person can choose to live out the dream or always wish they had attempted the dream. The precious dreams are those that won’t go away. They are in our heart day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment filling our mind with thoughts of “What ifs…?” and all sorts of wonders and thoughts. Be sure to do what you can to live out the dreams that are with you day and night. They are there because they are important to you and only you (and maybe that special someone else). Sometimes we must live what we really want to do deep down inside. God puts the real good and important dreams deep in our heart so that we will yearn for them. We are supposed to be reminded and God will remind us of the destiny that He has for us. God will make a way, and God will show us the way, the all important way to a better future of goodness and understanding, growth and maturity. Besides what others say, beside what others think and claim the only way to be free and live life instead of simply existing is to live the dreams that fill our heart from our Father God.

Dear You,
How can I help motivate you to put yourself first?
Do I need to provoke you?
Make you angry?
Do I need to make you feel like you’re serving others?
Do I need to remind you that you’ve been talking about the same things for years?
Do I need to tell you that your days are numbered, that you’re running out of time to be you?
Do I need to tell you that giving the world you is your greatest responsibility?
Do I need to ask you gently to share you with me?
Do I need to scream you are enough?
Do I need to hold your hand as you step across the line of fear? What do I need to do?

Test people. I have done this with people, family and friends who are away, or gone somewhere for some time, or who I contact a lot. In the past I used to ring and write to people far more than they ever wrote to me, or rung me. One day i read in a book about self-control and to “Stop making people love me”. I realised that I was pestering people because I was insecure and desperately needed to feel wanted and loved. Once I stopped contacting them to my horror no one made an effort to contact me. Sad yes, but also refreshing, because I was wasting my time with time-wasters who were either being polite, or were friends because they wanted something off me. Lee Iaccoca once said, “My father always used to say that when you die, if you’ve got five real friends, then you’ve had a great life.” – So please don’t sweat it if family and friends really don’t care, because out there somewhere there is someone who needs someone just like you to fill the gap in their heart and to make their soul complete and happy.

Sometimes when dealing with people we can be talked into doing things that we don’t want to do simply because we are nice people and we don’t want to let other people down. We are known by the people we spend the most time with. Think about this carefully and look at any groups (family, friends, clubs etc) that you are involved with thoroughly. Are they really good for you? Are they really worth spending your time with? Do they like or love you truly? It is worth thinking about, because they are a major input into your brain and that influence can drive you in a direction that can destroy your life. Choose wisely and carefully after much thought. Originally written by me for Valentines Day, 2011. 🌿 In your eyes I see my future, my desires, my dreams, my children, my new family – in you is so much, so deep, so pure and you are so willing to fill the empty gap in my soul, willing to be mine for evermore… At my side I feel your presence like a deep enchanting breeze surrounding me, encasing me with the power of your well intended love. ♥ To touch you makes me feel good, to hold you gives my life new meaning, to be with you gives me comfort and joy. You bring out the best in me with your support and encouragements, and give my life new meaning, new hope. I have never known a friend like you, I have never known that love could be this good, so intoxicating and yet so satisfying, honest and true. You give me pleasure deep in my soul. When you leave I feel lost, when you return I feel wanted. ♥ The greatest blessing of all is that you want me with all my failings, with all my mistakes, with all my faults, even on my bad days. I have no words for the grateful feeling in my heart for you have rescued me from loneliness, boredom and a life with no real heartfelt purpose. ♥ I now know that to be married to my soul-partner is to be given a new lease on life, a new start, opportunities and a chance for the two of us to start creating our own garden of Eden with our new home. ♥ Your presence caresses my soul with joy and pleasure. I look for you in the crowds. I yearn to hear your voice. I am willing and wanting to give you the best years of my life, my best efforts, my unconditional love with my whole heart behind the effort. Motivation is to bring yourself to do something. You “have” to feel motivated, it cannot be faked or pushed upon you, it is in the inner you, and it must be fed with the joy of living and life. With God we have the greatest source of energy and love. That is a good motivator just knowing that there is something so wonderful as love and God. Be the goodness that you want to see in the world. Be the shining light of hope that you wished had come to you in the past. Be the change that you want to see in the world. Be the friend that you wanted to be friends with you. Be the lover that you want your lover to be. Be the parent that you wished your parents were. Be the gift to the world that you want to have given to you. Be the soul-winner that is non-judgmental and is loving and kind that you wanted to come knocking on your door in the past and truly bring the love out in your heart to repair the hurt in your soul. Be the encourager that you want to have encourage you. Say the words of love and kindness that you want people to say to you. When you were down and out and you needed a friend, an encourager, a person who understood you, you felt alone, sad and hurt. Be that person to other people and lighten up their lives. What all decent men dream of, a woman who does not care for material goods to measure her love, and doesn’t measure her man by the money he has. But instead through the good times and the bad, they stand side by side, because best friends and lovers in marriage let their love complete them in the most miraculous way. A woman who unselfishly fills her mans soul brings him and their family much joy, peace and harmony.

EASTER SUNDAY or RESURRECTION SUNDAY JESUS Was Raised from the dead exactly as he had Predicted.. The guards at the Tomb saw him and went back to tell the officials that “He’s alive!” However, they were paid to keep quiet about it as recorded in (Matthew 28:11-15).. MARY MAGDALENE was the first to see the resurrected LORD.. She thought He was the Gardener when she first saw Him.. He told her to go and tell that He was alive.. JESUS was seen by more than 500 People—Cynics as well as Believers—before He Ascended back into HEAVEN.. There was no question about whether or not JESUS was resurrected just as He said.. With His resurrection,, JESUS proved beyond a shadow of any doubt that He was, and is the SON of GOD. Admittedly,, JESUS did a lot during His last week while He was physically alive on earth,, but our Salvation is based on what was done on Resurrection Sunday morning.. — GOD Raised JESUS from the DEAD.. (Romans 10:9).. A Blessed Holy Sunday Everyone!! –♥–Florabel Anton Mayo–♥–

To know the character of a person look: At how they treat the older generation. At how they act towards all human races. At whether they encourage or discourage other people. At their behaviour towards all peoples. At their kindness to animals. At their willingness to help without personal gain. At their humour – is it innocent and clean! At what they do when they think no one is looking. At their will to help even their enemies. It takes a lot to really know a person. It takes time for the mind to put the jigsaw together. But once we have gathered all that information together we can see who we are dealing with. Really it takes mostly some simple information and we can know a person before we even get to meet that person. We are what we eat, think, say, pray, do and how much we love or hate.

One thing I discovered over the years is that freedom is not always just being able to go here and there and doing what other people expect of us. We should appreciate the fact that we can go where we need to or want to. But there is another freedom, and that is going where your heart and soul need to be – to be able to do this we need to have the courage to do as we know we should and as we feel is right and as our heart tells us is right. Freedom is not just being free from physical chains, it is also being where we feel wanted, needed and important, useful and emotionally stable. All the best from James M Sandbrook. 1st April 2012.

SAYING “NO” IN A POLITE AND RESPECTFUL WAY START SMALL WITH YOUR “NO”. Now that you have made some skills in recognizing and managing the fear that comes with saying “no”, it is time to start saying it. It can be helpful to start small and start with less fear provoking situations to say “no” in. If the thought of saying “no” to your mother is still quite terrifying then don’t start with Mom. If it’s your boss who you’d really like to start saying “no” to, but you are still too nervous, don’t start with her or him. Start with safe people. If you have a good relationship with your sister, spouse or co-worker, start there. Look for opportunities to say, “no thank you” when they offer you something that maybe you don’t want (an extra helping of dinner, a coffee, a plant they are trying to get rid of). If you are a person who has said “yes” to everyone and everything your whole life, you may run into some reactions of shock from others. They may try to ignore your “no” and push their offer on to you. You can breathe, and respond with, “thank you, I have thought about it, and I’m okay without it”. It may take some time for people to recognize that you are setting a boundary and that you are keeping that boundary set. At first this may not be met with happy reactions. By changing your regular response you are upsetting a system that has likely taken place for years. If you feel your fear/guilt/anger creeping in, pause, breathe and trust in the process of setting boundaries and asserting them with “no”. Over time, as you continue to assert yourself, people will adjust and respect your boundaries. If they do not, you may be in the unfortunate position of evaluating the role you want this person to have in your life. – Charlene Richard.

If I Had My Life To Live Over Again ○ When asked “How would you have lived your life differently if you had a chance?” Nadine Stair, an 85-year-old woman, from Louisville, Kentucky, provided these poetic words as her response… If I had my life to live over again, I’d dare to make more mistakes next time. I’d relax. I’d limber up. I’d be sillier than I’ve been this trip. I would take fewer things seriously. I would take more chances, I would eat more ice cream and less beans. I would, perhaps, have more actual troubles but fewer imaginary ones. you see, I’m one of those people who was sensible and sane, hour after hour, day after day. Oh, I’ve had my moments. If I had to do it over again, I’d have more of them. In fact, I’d try to have nothing else- just moments, one after another, instead of living so many years ahead of each day. I’ve been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without a thermometer, a hot-water bottle, a raincoat, and a parachute. If I could do it again, I would travel lighter than I have. If I had to live my life over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall. I would go to more dances, I would ride more merry-go-rounds, I would pick more daisies. – Nadine Stair ○ What beautiful words to ponder. What a sweet and sobering poem. It perfectly reflects the message passed down to me from from my elders when I worked in nursing homes in my early 20’s. Those wonderful people, who were getting close to the end of their days, taught me so much about what really mattered in life. Their wisdom set me on the path to conscious living and for that I will be forever grateful to each one of them. In today’s world, the emphasis is on getting stuff done rather than enjoying the unfolding dance of life. It’s not often we allow ourselves the luxury of being fully present for our precious moments. When we live like this – always trying to get somewhere instead of being here – we are short changing our lives. So, ponder this poem deeply my dear friends. Let it seep into every cell and molecule of your being. Let it open you up and break through the belief that the next moment will finally make you happy. This is it. This moment. This is your one wild and precious life, here and now. ° – Love Melli O’Brian.

When you set boundaries to protect yourself, your values, your health, and your life, you are telling yourself, “These are my rules set in stone, for my life!” You are also telling the same thing to all the people who know you, and those who you will meet in the future. If you pull down the boundaries due to friend and family pressure then you will get hurt eventually (probably as you did in the past, learn from the past). ° You will know those who truly care for your life, future etc by the signs of respect they give you for your standards, views, feelings, and wants. Good friends don’t pressure good friends to do things that they don’t want to do, bad friends do that. Bad friends say the right things most of the time, and then pressure you to do what you don’t need to do our want to do. You can feel the uncomfortable pressure, and that is a sign that the situation is wrong, and that this person does not have your best interests in heart. ° Know them by how they treat you. Know them also if they force you to defending your views. If you have to argue and defend your protective boundaries with another person then that person is dedicated to changing your mind and lowering your boundaries. That person is not a person who holds the same good values as you do. If he or she did have the same values then there would be no arguments, debates of discussion of changing or lowering your boundaries. Instead this person would enjoy being just like you want to be. ° And last of all, use your instincts. Look at the people trying to give you advice. Are they people who you want to be in the future? If not, get advice off someone else who you do respect and know that the advice is what suits your wants and future needs ° All the best from James M Sandbrook. 16 March 2016.

🌿 When you follow the crowd, you lose your personal identity. As time goes by you forget who you were, what you wanted, and what you dreamed of.| And then you discover that you are dreaming what “they” are dreaming, wanting what they want, and have lost all sense of direction and common sense, and forgotten what were the most important things that you once believed in and wanted to stand up for when you were young and full of imagination, desire for change, and a belief that the world could be an amazing place for all to live in. It is better to lose others than to lose yourself to fit in to be like them. ○ Please be strong and powerful in your wanting the best for your life and in your fight for a better world – You were born to be courageous and the best that you can be, so please don’t let yourself down and sell yourself short by being anything other than who you were born to be! ○ You have a voice, so say what you believe, stand for what you think is important and encourage yourself along the way. For the good fight is worthy, and the results of your good heart in the world is blessing. Fight the good fight because you have to, because your soul requires it of you and be the difference in the word and your local community that you so much want to see. ○ When you do what you believe in, say what you have to say, and stand up agaisnt all that oppose you regardless of who they are, then you will have an unbreakable self respect for yourself and you will never have a problem looking at yourself in the mirror as your faith in yourself and what you believe in grows strong and stronger each day. ○ All the best from James M Sandbrook.

There is nothing wrong with wanting the best for yourself. We can give to others, but we must seek a life worth living that will satisfy our own soul. The health of your spiritual heart is very important so don’t let yourself down. Please don’t take less than you deserve. Please don’t lower yourself to levels that will make you disrespect yourself. You can’t want the best for yourself or love yourself or respect yourself if you do things that make you doubt yourself, and love faith in yourself. The greatest personal strength is saying, “No!” when you are in doubt. Be strong. Don’t let yourself down. You are very important for your future. A love story… As I walked home one freezing day, I stumbled on a wallet someone had lost in the street. I picked it up and looked inside to find some identification so I could call the owner. But the wallet contained only three dollars and a crumpled letter that looked as if it had been in there for years. The envelope was worn and the only thing that was legible on it was the return address. I started to open the letter, hoping to find some clue. Then I saw the dateline–1924. The letter had been written almost 60 years ago. It was written in a beautiful feminine handwriting on powder blue stationery with a little flower in the left-hand corner. It was a “Dear John” letter that told the recipient, whose name appeared to be Michael, that the writer could not see him anymore because her mother forbade it. Even so, she wrote that she would always love him. It was signed, Hannah. It was a beautiful letter, but there was no way except for the name Michael, that the owner could be identified. Maybe if I called information, the operator could find a phone listing for the address on the envelope. “Operator,” I began, “this is an unusual request. I’m trying to find the owner of a wallet that I found. Is there anyway you can tell me if there is a phone number for an address that was on an envelope in the wallet?” She suggested I speak with her supervisor, who hesitated for a moment then said, “Well, there is a phone listing at that address, but I can’t give you the number.” She said, as a courtesy, she would call that number, explain my story and would ask them if they wanted her to connect me. I waited a few minutes and then she was back on the line. “I have a party who will speak with you.” I asked the woman on the other end of the line if she knew anyone by the name of Hannah. She gasped, “Oh! We bought this house from a family who had a daughter named Hannah. But that was 30 years ago!” “Would you know where that family could be located now?” I asked. “I remember that Hannah had to place her mother in a nursing home some years ago,” the woman said. “Maybe if you got in touch with them they might be able to track down the daughter.” She gave me the name of the nursing home and I called the number. They told me the old lady had passed away some years ago but they did have a phone number for where they thought the daughter might be living. I thanked them and phoned. The woman who answered explained that Hannah herself was now living in a nursing home. This whole thing was stupid, I thought to myself. Why was I making such a big deal over finding the owner of a wallet that had only three dollars and a letter that was almost 60 years old? Nevertheless, I called the nursing home in which Hannah was supposed to be living and the man who answered the phone told me, “Yes, Hannah is staying with us.” Even though it was already 10 p.m., I asked if I could come by to see her. “Well,” he said hesitatingly, “if you want to take a chance, she might be in the day room watching television.” I thanked him and drove over to the nursing home. The night nurse and a guard greeted me at the door. We went up to the third floor of the large building. In the day room, the nurse introduced me to Hannah. She was a sweet, silver-haired oldtimer with a warm smile and a twinkle in her eye. I told her about finding the wallet and showed her the letter. The second she saw the powder blue envelope with that little flower on the left, she took a deep breath and said, “Young man, this letter was the last contact I ever had with Michael.” She looked away for a moment deep in thought and then said softly, “I loved him very much. But I was only 16 at the time and my mother felt I was too young. Oh, he was so handsome. He looked like Sean Connery, the actor.” “Yes,” she continued. “Michael Goldstein was a wonderful person. If you should find him, tell him I think of him often. And,” she hesitated for a moment, almost biting her lip, “tell him I still love him. You know,” she said smiling as tears began to well up in her eyes, “I never did marry. I guess no one ever matched up to Michael…” I thanked Hannah and said goodbye. I took the elevator to the first floor and as I stood by the door, the guard there asked, “Was the old lady able to help you?” I told him she had given me a lead. “At least I have a last name. But I think I’ll let it go for a while. I spent almost the whole day trying to find the owner of this wallet.” I had taken out the wallet, which was a simple brown leather case with red lacing on the side. When the guard saw it, he said, “Hey, wait a minute! That’s Mr. Goldstein’s wallet. I’d know it anywhere with that bright red lacing. He’s always losing that wallet. I must have found it in the halls at least three times.” “Who’s Mr. Goldstein?” I asked as my hand began to shake.

“He’s one of the oldtimers on the 8th floor. That’s Mike Goldstein’s wallet for sure. He must have lost it on one of his walks.” I thanked the guard and quickly ran back to the nurse’s office. I told her what the guard had said. We went back to the elevator and got on. I prayed that Mr. Goldstein would be up. On the eighth floor, the floor nurse said, “I think he’s still in the day room. He likes to read at night. He’s a darling old man.” We went to the only room that had any lights on and there was a man reading a book. The nurse went over to him and asked if he had lost his wallet. Mr. Goldstein looked up with surprise, put his hand in his back pocket and said, “Oh, it is missing!” “This kind gentleman found a wallet and we wondered if it could be yours?” I handed Mr. Goldstein the wallet and the second he saw it, he smiled with relief and said, “Yes, that’s it! It must have dropped out of my pocket this afternoon. I want to give you a reward.” “No, thank you,” I said. “But I have to tell you something. I read the letter in the hope of finding out who owned the wallet.” The smile on his face suddenly disappeared. “You read that letter?” “Not only did I read it, I think I know where Hannah is.” He suddenly grew pale. “Hannah? You know where she is? How is she? Is she still as pretty as she was? Please, please tell me,” he begged. “She’s fine…just as pretty as when you knew her.” I said softly. The old man smiled with anticipation and asked, “Could you tell me where she is? I want to call her tomorrow.” He grabbed my hand and said, “You know something, Mister? I was so in love with that girl that when that letter came, my life literally ended. I never married. I guess I’ve always loved her.” “Mr. Goldstein,” I said, “Come with me.” We took the elevator down to the third floor. The hallways were darkened and only one or two little night-lights lit our way to the day room where Hannah was sitting alone watching the television. The nurse walked over to her. “Hannah,” she said softly, pointing to Michael, who was waiting with me in the doorway. “Do you know this man?” She adjusted her glasses, looked for a moment, but didn’t say a word. Michael said softly, almost in a whisper, “Hannah, it’s Michael. Do you remember me?” She gasped, “Michael! I don’t believe it! Michael! It’s you! My Michael!” He walked slowly towards her and they embraced. The nurse and I left with tears streaming down our faces. “See,” I said. “See how the Good Lord works! If it’s meant to be, it will be.” About three weeks later I got a call at my office from the nursing home. “Can you break away on Sunday to attend a wedding? Michael and Hannah are going to tie the knot!” It was a beautiful wedding with all the people at the nursing home dressed up to join in the celebration. Hannah wore a light beige dress and looked beautiful. Michael wore a dark blue suit and stood tall. They made me their best man. The hospital gave them their own room and if you ever wanted to see a 76-year-old bride and a 79-year-old groom acting like two teenagers, you had to see this couple. A perfect ending for a love affair that had lasted nearly 60 years.

Motivation/Thoughts/Stories for the day!
○ I Have Decided To Follow My Dream I have always loved fish. Is it weird to love fish? When I was five my dad told us he was taking my brother and I on a fishing day a few hours away, from the car I shouted AQUARIUM! I read the sign. I was five, my dad loves that story and bragging about my reading ability for my age at the time. My parents wanted to throw me a big party for my sixteenth birthday. Instead I asked them for a fish tank. A family friend gave me his unused 55 gallon tank, and I built my reef community from the ground up. I bought a DSLR with savings so I could make high quality videos of my fish. I was obsessed. I moved. I had to get rid of them, but it always stayed. I wanted to study Marine science when I went to college, but by my senior year I had been talked out of it by my family and friends- not enough money/opportunity in the field. Been in and out of schooling for a few years. Today, my boyfriend took me to an aquarium for Valentine’s Day. I know all the fish facts. Who is who and why gobies have eyes on top of their heads and watch, honey! That seahorse is gonna anchor himself to that seagrass! It’s so exciting for me. I feel like a little kid. When we left, he told me in the years he’s known me, he’s never seen me as happy as I am when I talk about fish. He told me I should really pursue it, that through the years, he’s only ever seen me like that in aquariums. Totally I lost it. Nobody ever supported it as anything more than a hobby. I texted my mom about it today and she said, well honey. really think about it. I think finance would still be the smart choice. She’s right! It would be! But I’d be miserable, settling, doing it for my folks. I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna make it happen. By Beetsaladwithwalnuts • February 19, 2018

To make your life come true you must follow how you intended it to be from when you were young “before the world too over and reaarang4d your thougths and gave you the worlds dream. === Believe in yourself. Many will claim to be with you, they will claim to support you, they will even claim to admire you, but they don’t really want you to be better than them. So go your own way, and be with those who value you, learn how to know who really wants you to succeed in your life dreams and will encourage you to be the very best that you can be, so much so that you will truly be able to look yourself in the mirror and have loads of self respect and love for yourself.

Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.” — Pamela Vaull Starr
===
Having a dream is not enough, you must act on your dreams to make it come true. === Once Upon A Time… Once upon a time there was a little girl who loved to dream. She would wish upon stars and dream of the future. She would imagine great happiness and seek after new hope. In fact, the little girl spent most of her days wishing and dreaming and hoping for things that would make her life a little less ordinary. The more she dreamed, the better she felt. And the better she felt the more she dreamed. Days, weeks and months passed. The little girl continued to wish on stars and wait for the moment when one day, her dreams would come true. However, the little girl was so pre-occupied with her dreaming, that opportunities passed her by like clouds on the horizon. One evening when the sky was twinkling with little stars, she noticed something floating by her. It was a little boy clutching desperately to a rope, which was attached to a sparkling star. The little girl stared in amazement before calling out desperately to the boy. “Are you alright?” The little boy smiled back whilst clutching onto the rope for dear life. “What are you doing?” the little girl exclaimed in wonderment. “I am catching my wishing star”, he replied. “I am going to make my wishes come true.” The boy surely and steadily began climbing up the rope towards his star, as he continued to pass by the little girl. The little girl looked up in the sky at all the stars she had ever wished on. There were millions and millions of them, each one twinkling so brightly. Not one of those stars had ever fallen into her lap. Not one of her wishes had ever come true. This time she looked to a new star and made a new wish. She picked up a rope and with all her might threw it up into the sky. It wrapped itself around her chosen star and she grabbed onto it for dear life. The little girl’s life was about to change, and change for the better, as she had finally found her ideal. *Story copyright Rosie Harriott 2011 === Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. YOUR POWER TO SAY NO! Millions of men and women suffer terribly simply because they Won’t say “NO!”. Few understand this strange situation. You can. There are many powers on earth. You can be the king of your own life with one overwhelming power. That is the power you possess, the great power to say “NO!” to people and events. It is a weak yes that lures people into trouble and it is a powerful “NO!” that can keep you safe. But you must learn how to develop and use it. You learn to say NO by understanding how and why a crafty world wants you to say yes. People want your yes as a first step toward getting whatever else they want from you. This is not cynicism. This is a plain fact and those who choose to ignore it will remain as victims. Of course cunning people will always mask their personal greeds with fancy phrases and pleasant smiles. Does the hungry wolf ever tell the little lamb his true motive? So ask yourself constantly, “Why do so many people want me to agree to their offers?” Reply to yourself, “They want my yes for their own gain, which will result in my loss. In brief, they want mine to become theirs. But who said I had to give it to them? No one.” It is exercises like this that prove that you not only possess the potent power of NO but that it can free you from bothersome and intimidating people wherever you go.There is no end of tricks people use to prevent you from coming back with a firm and final NO. They tryto make you feel guilty, they appeal to your loyalty, they warn you of danger unless you agree. They shout, plead, weep, threaten, coax, lie, accuse, pretend, promise, whine, shock, laugh, divert, rage, grieve, demand, persist.Just think! All these tricks collapse in defeat before the single reply of NO. Remember, NO is a high form of intelligence backed up by Reality itself. Reality wants you to be free, while hoaxers want you to be theirs. There is the story of a country where everyone lived in his own little house on top of his own little hill. All-day long the citizens would peer out their windows and worry that a neighbour might sneak over and push them off their little hills. While pretending that they were happy and secure they lived in concealed tension and antagonism. Does that remind you of how most people live? If you don’t want to you don’t have to live like most people. No matter how long a person has been trapped in a nervous life of the little hilltop he can leave anytime he chooses to do so. He can begin his interesting journey to a new and solid land. He can see how NO is based in reliable spiritual principles, that is rightly exciting to employ, and that is proves its own power in daily situations.EXPOSE THESE YES-TRAPS. There are dozens of places where you are now saying yes simply because you don’t realize that you should say NO – by Vernon Howard.

There was a farmer who sold a pound of butter to the baker. One day the baker decided to weigh the butter to see if he was getting a pound and he found that he was not. This angered him and he took the farmer to court. ° The judge asked the farmer if he was using any measure. The farmer replied, “I am primitive. I don’t have a proper measure, but I do have a scale.” The judge asked, “Then how do you weigh the butter?” The farmer replied “Your Honor, I have been buying a pound loaf of bread from the baker. Every day when the baker brings the bread, I put it on the scale and give him the same weight in butter. If anyone is to be blamed, it is the baker.” ° What is the moral of the story? We get back in life what we give to others. Whenever you take an action, ask yourself this question: “Am I giving fair value?” Honesty and dishonesty become a habit. Some people practice dishonesty and can lie with a straight face. Others lie so much that they don’t even know what the truth is anymore. But who are they deceiving? Themselves. Please don’t be like them. Instead be wise and be an example of encouragement and honestly wherever you go, and the world will be a better place for being you in it. ° – Author Unknown. === When you are good to others, you are best to yourself. – B Franklin. === Life is really very simple. What we give out, we get back. Every thought we think is creating our future. – Louise Hay. === “At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done. We will be judged by ‘I was hungry and you gave me to eat, I was naked and you clothed me, I was homeless and you took me in.’ Hungry not only for bread — but hungry for love. Naked not only for clothing — but naked for human dignity and respect. Homeless not only for want of a room of bricks — but homeless because of rejection.” – Mother Teresa ===

Please say the right encouraging words and sentences ‘to you”! 🌼 When we go agaisnt the common thought, or want to do something that people in our life are telling us is wrong, then we need to follow our heart and say to ourself what we wish that other people would say to us. 🦋 Imagine all the people who did amazing things and were told constantly that it was impossible, that they were foolish, and that it will never work. They had to replace all the negative talk from others and then replace it with positive encouraging self talk. 🌱 When other people go against our heart they can kill our chances and drive by their negative input into our minds. We should never allow this. We have our dreams, we know what we really want, we know what we should try to make things right in our life, so we need to encourage ourselves and push away the negative peoples toxic words. 🌿 When we win, then we show them that they were wrong all along 🙂 Believe in yourself, believe your mind, believe in your dreams and especially believe in your worth for better things to come. 🍂 All the best from James M Sandbrook.

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car shot out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us! My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, really friendly. So I asked, “Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!” This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, “The Law of the Garbage Truck.” ° He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage (frustration, anger, and disappointment, etc.). As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they’ll dump it on you. Don’t take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don’t take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets. The bottom line is that mature people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life’s too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so… love the people who treat you right and pray for the ones who don’t. Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you react to it! Have a blessed, garbage-free day. – Author Unknown.

What Love means to a 4-8 year old’s… Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it. Touching words from the mouth of babes. A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, ‘What does love mean?’ The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think: ‘When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That’s love.’ Rebecca- age 8 ‘When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.’ Billy – age 4 ‘Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.’ Karl – age 5 ‘Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.’ Chrissy – age 6 ‘Love is what makes you smile when you’re tired.’ Terri – age 4 ‘Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.’ Danny – age 7 ‘Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss’ Emily – age 8 ‘If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,’ Nikka – age 6 – (we need a few million more Nikka’s on this planet) ‘Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.’ Noelle – age 7 ‘Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.’ Tommy – age 6 ‘During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn’t scared anymore.’ Cindy – age 8 ‘My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don’t see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.’ Clare – age 6 ‘Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.’ Elaine-age 5 ‘Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.’ Chris – age 7 ‘Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.’ Mary Ann – age 4 ‘When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.’ (what an image) Karen – age 7 ‘You really shouldn’t say ‘I love you’ unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.’ Jessica – age 8 And the final one — Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman’s yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,’Nothing, I just helped him cry’ When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need. I don’t know who the author of this is but I have seen it many times and thought it nice enough to put here for you to read. “To me (James M Sandbrook) Love is being with the person/people I want to be with the most.”

“In the past, my brain could only compute perfection or failure—nothing in between. So words like competent, acceptable, satisfactory, and good enough fell into the failure category. Even above average meant failure if I received an 88 out of 100 percent on an exam, I felt that I failed. The fact is most things in life are not absolutes and have components of both good and bad. I used to think in absolute terms a lot: all, every, or never. I would eat all of the food (that is, binge), and then I would restrict every meal and to never eat again. This type of thinking extended outside of the food arena as well: I had to get all of the answers right on a test; I had to be in every extracurricular activity […] The ‘if it’s not perfect, I quit’ approach to life is a treacherous way to live. […] I hadn’t established a baseline of competence: What gets the job done? What is good enough? Finding good enough takes trial and error. For those of us who are perfectionists, the error part of trial and error can stop us dead in our tracks. We would rather keep chasing perfection than risk possibly making a mistake. I was able to change my behaviour only when the pain of perfectionism became greater than the pain of making an error. […] Today good enough means that I’m okay just the way I am. I play my position in the world. I catch the ball when it is thrown my way. I don’t always have to make the crowd go wild or get a standing ovation. It’s good enough to just catch the ball or even to do my best to catch it. Good enough means that I finally enjoy playing the game.” – Jenni Schaefer.

I knew a woman, a very attractive blonde who startled many men at the sight of her. But her handsome, well sculptured muscled and tanned young husband was always telling her that she was getting fat/chubby, not up to scratch, and it was breaking her down, so she would try try and try again to be what he demanded of her. She ended up kicking him out and remarrying a man who appreciates her for who she is. ○ “You’ve got to have someone who loves your body. Who doesn’t define you, but sees you. Who loves what he sees. Who you don’t have to struggle to be good enough for.” – Deb Caletti, ○ True love is not supposed to be hard work, it is supposed to be happiness. Working day and night to try to be what the other person wants us to be is not good for a relationship. When they married their love they married who that person “is”, and if what they found that person to be wasn’t up to their expectations and demand more of their lover, demand change, and submission, then that person never cared in the first place. – A lover is not a hater. But someone who is demanding his or her version of perfection of their lover clearly was not happy with the person he or she married in the first place. There is also a big chance that they point the finger at their spouse to throw attention off their own weakness, failings, shortcoming, imperfections and mistakes. Insecure that he or she will be seen for their true self they destroy the other person’s confidence first. ○ True love is not hard work, it is two people wanting to be with the person who they see before them, not in love with some person they have imagined the person before them to be. ○ Look for the warning signs, and if you have seen them, been shown the true character of a person, then please for your own sanity, don’t let them back in. You can’t change them, and their promises and words didn’t change them, because the issues are deep in that person’s inner-core, something that he or she has to deal with and that change take many years to complete. ○ All the best from James M Sandbrook.

The penny dropped is a casual idiom outside the United States used to mean a person has belatedly put two and two together or understood something. The verb drop may be conjugated through all its forms. The phrase was coined in the 1930s in the British publication of The Daily Mirror. The allusion was made to machines that required a penny to operate. Sometimes the coin would be stuck and someone would wait for the penny to drop for the machine to work. When the coin did drop, the phone or toy dispenser or other mechanism would come to life. – Grammarist.

Story retold by Rochelle M. Pennington: The wives who lived within the walls of the Weinsberg Castle in Germany were well aware of the riches it held: gold, sliver, jewels, and wealth beyond belief. Then the day came in 1141 A. D. when all their treasure was threatened. And enemy army had surrounded the castle and demanded the fortress, the fortune, and the lives of the men within. There was nothing to do but surrender. Although the conquering commander had set a condition for the safe release of all the women and children, the wives of Weinsberg refused to leave without having one of their own conditions met, as well. They demanded that they be allowed to fill their arms with as many possessions as they could carry out with them. Knowing that the women couldn’t possibly make a dent in the massive fortune, their request was honored. When the castle gates opened, the army outside was brought to tears. Each woman had carried out her husband.

Love: So much pleasure comes from feeling secure with the one that you love and trust. So much pleasure comes from someone who always uses polite manners and talks like they care, with body movements like holding hands and looking into our eyes, that make us feel that life is all of love, and your love is all of your life. 💛 Pleasure is being greeted by a hug and a kiss. Pleasure is being held for the longest time like you are a package that completes your partners day and brings a certain spiritual bliss and contentment to their life. Pleasure is being missed, even for the smallest of time. Pleasure is being asked your opinion about everything, even if you have no idea about it. Pleasure is simply walking down the street side by side and you feel his or her hand searching for your hand and then holding it gently, yet firmly, like you belong together forever. Pleasure that you have a best friend who will not leave to get married but will stay with you forever because this person is who you married forever. Pleasure in feeling important to someone, finally, sigh 🙂 Pleasure in waking up a dreadful mess but being hugged and loved like a treasure. Pleasure in sharing the news, sharing feelings, and stories and pasts and laughs. Pleasure is doing whatever you want to do together because you are adults and are together – it is your life now. 💛 There is pleasure in debating, even if rowdy, and then finally coming up with a plan and compromise. Tears of pleasure when you see that one person that makes you feel that you have found love, finally. Truth is in love. True love means voluntary commitment, being responsible, and making an effort because you care to make an effort. ○ We should have pleasure in our soul when we go without for those that we love, even if it means longsuffering. Love is about sacrifice too. People who are truly in love never have to ask about the other person to tell them that they love them because they know, they feel the love in all contact with the other person. A child knows if the mother or father loves the child because of the way that she treats the child, and wants to be with the child, and how she shows unselfish commitment to the child. Marriage is like that too. You can feel it so that you know it. ° Love making is an all day event, and it is a 24 hour commitment, and friendship of two kindred spirits who live with one another for the same general purpose of life. They live in harmony. God designed marriage to be happiness and worth having. ° All the best from James Martin Sandbrook. September 2, 2014

A woman would be much better off if she could distinguish the difference between a man that flatters her and a man that compliments her. … a man that spends money on her and a man that invests in her. … a man that views her as property and a man that views her properly. … a man that lusts after her and a man that loves her. … a man that believes he is God’s gift to women and a man that remembers a woman is God’s gift to man – Author Unknown.

“I trust you” is a better compliment than “I love you” because you may not always trust the person you love but you can always love the person you trust.

Following the crowd makes the crowd the pilot and we are pushed, pulled, and shoved in all directions. Being your own pilot takes self control, and self belief, and believing that you have a chance. Piloting your own life is taking control from others and going in the direction that you know is where your heart lies. It will be hard at first, and yes there will be resistance. Planes take off going into the wind, that is how they get their lift. You too must head into the wind, face the resistance and forge forward to your chosen destiny. We never know who we are or what we are capable of unless we take the reigns and follow that dream. The first step is the hardest, the second a bit easier, the third is when you start thinking that you are getting a good rhythm going, and onwards you go with the feeling of the breeze on your face, that wind, it is called “freedom” – go for it. No one else is going to give your your dreams, only you can do that. Only you can choose. Only you can make it happen. All the best from James M Sandbrook.

Honesty has a beautiful and refreshing simplicity about it. No ulterior motives. No hidden meanings. An absence of hypocrisy, duplicity, political games, and verbal superficiality. As honesty and real integrity characterize our lives, there will be no need to manipulate others. – Chuck Swindoll.

Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It’s not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make. Period. Unless… You are an adult who still hands your life over to others to control, like your parents, spouse etc. The only way to courage, confidence, self respect and inner strength is to face life by making you own choices for yourself. If other people choose for you then those other people take the space within you that has never grown and gained courage and confidence. In fear of having t make one’s own choice he or she becomes anxious and scared of facing life on their own without their captors, their chosen controllers. Only you should make your own choices. You may discuss things with others, you can investigate, but unless you personally take risks and have a go on your own you will always be owned by others, live in fear, and be a shadow of your true self. All the best from James M Sandbrook.

What people want of us, what they expect of us, and what they assume we should be is only their views. It could be the farthest thing from the truth for you. Please, be true to yourself, not to them. They do not feel what you feel, they do not desire what you desire, they cannot hear what your mind hears, thinks and debates. “You, be You, the real You!”

“” Storms always come in the spring of life. There’s always struggle and dealings with strife. There’s always some searching and quite a few tears, but no storms can last forever. You will be proud when you look back that you made it through, still intact. For the clouds will break and the sun come through. God will shine a rainbow for you..”” (Joan Clifton Costner) –♥–Florabel Anton Mayo–♥–

A woman was waiting at an airport one night, with several long hours before her flight. She hunted for a book in the airport shops, bought a bag of cookies and found a place to drop. She was engrossed in her book but happened to see, that the man sitting beside her, as bold as could be. . . grabbed a cookie or two from the bag in between, which she tried to ignore to avoid a scene. So she munched the cookies and watched the clock, as the gutsy cookie thief diminished her stock. She was getting more irritated as the minutes ticked by, thinking, “If I wasn’t so nice, I would blacken his eye.” With each cookie she took, he took one too, when only one was left, she wondered what he would do. With a smile on his face, and a nervous laugh, he took the last cookie and broke it in half. He offered her half, as he ate the other, she snatched it from him and thought… oooh, brother. This guy has some nerve and he’s also rude, why he didn’t even show any gratitude! She had never known when she had been so galled, and sighed with relief when her flight was called. She gathered her belongings and headed to the gate, refusing to look back at the thieving ingrate. She boarded the plane, and sank in her seat, then she sought her book, which was almost complete. As she reached in her baggage, she gasped with surprise, there was her bag of cookies, in front of her eyes. If mine are here, she moaned in despair, the others were his, and he tried to share. Too late to apologize, she realized with grief, that she was the rude one, the ingrate, the thief. – Author Unknown.

When we allow the feelings of past failure and frustration to take over our minutes, hours, days and even onwards to months and years we let “a moment in time” have the power to destroy our life. We also give it the power to hurt/destroy the lives of other people that we come across. Concentrate on change, on happiness, and being with people that will bring fruitfulness and decency into your life. Good decent people = Good decent fun times! – James M Sandbrook …♥…♥…

I heard a song and in it were the words “looking through life through someone else’s eyes” and that is something we do often. From birth we are “taught what is what” and often we don’t discover it for ourselves. It is important if we discover “life” ourselves and experience what happens so that the lesson remains deep in our subconscious and involves all our senses. Parents, teachers, friends, relations, and others give us their views of life through their eyes, and even if they are well intended, their advice or what they tell us is only from their own view, it doesn’t mean that it is right or the truth, it doesn’t man that it will be good for our own life. Because we respect, love and trust some people, we can allow their thoughts, advice and beliefs to guide us and become our own beliefs. I have seen more than a few teenagers at church talk about growing up in a Christian home and going through the motions of being a good godly child/teenager etc, and then one day feeling empty, and wondering if he or she really did believe in God. Up to this point they were living other people’s views and beliefs, and this is why they suddenly doubted or wondered if they truly believed in God. Some stayed attached to family and church and some moved on to a different life. Besides all the love, guidance and teaching that others give us we eventually come to this point where we wonder if what we were taught up to this point is really what we believe in. I read that billy Graham’s son went through some doubt, took up gambling, drinking alcohol and did other things that were the total opposite to what Franklin had been taught by family and church. After a period of time he went back to family and church and became the devoted person that he is today. Another example of this is the masses immersed into materialism and commercialism who one day become religious because they wanted something more to believe in instead of just money and “things” etc. Life is about personal experiences, not just what we read, not just what we are told, and maybe not the Belief System that we were immersed into since childhood. We need to be open minded that what we have been told for years may not be the truth, and we can reach higher levels of wisdom and existence than those who guided and taught us before. All the best from James M Sandbrook.

When we finally see the truth, it will set us free, and those who we once did everything for, we don’t care for anymore, because we discovered that they only cared for themselves.

You are important, and you are as worthy of all the gifts and wonders of this world as anyone else is. Please don’t ever forget this. Some people want us to feel insecure, weak, and have us addicted to things, so that they get the good stuff while we feel that we deserve second best. Please be aware of these people (even in your own family). All the best from James M Sandbrook.

If we walk forward with shaking legs, pounding heart, shaky voice, we may not feel that this anxiety is progress, but it is. It is because you are walking through your anxiety and moving forward to make the changes that you know that you need in your life, and you are doing it regardless of how you are feeling, what must be done, must be done.
