The Importance of Having Hope

The Importance of Having Hope

Hope is what motivates us and keeps us going through the hard times. We dream of something better than we presently have, pushing us further.
There is no person alive that isn’t filled with dreams, goals and ideals. These things are a part of life and human nature. We all have the inbred desire for a good life. Hope is vital to the life of every person. Without hope, there is nothing to plan or look forward to; therefore, no reason to live.

The definition of a dream is ‘hope’; an inspiration; an aim.
Every human being dreams, the dreams differ greatly from person to person, some being small while others unrealistically large. Whatever the case is, it gives us something to look forward to, for example dreaming about becoming a rich executive helps us to focus on doing well at school to achieve this goal, so without these dreams our lives would be empty and pointless.
Dreams are what make us what we are.
Everyone has a different dream and these dreams are what influence our whole lives. Without hope a person has no motivation. There would be no point in going to school or getting a job, since no one would hope of having a career or family. Hope is what motivates us and keeps us going through the hard times. We dream of something better than we presently have and it is a dream like having a successful job and a family, that motivate us to succeed in achieving our goals.

“All men who have achieved great things have been great dreamers.” Said Orison Swett Marden. Any person that has achieved something great had a dream first.

A famous and obvious example is Martin Luther King who said, “I have a dream!” It was that dream that changed the way people thought and made them stop and think.
If he did not dream he never would have stood up for what he believed in and never aimed to change things.
This is exactly why we need dreams – to have hope and to aim to change our present situation for the better.

Dreams change as we get older and some are less important then others, but however trivial or small the dreams are, they are still important since it brings some sense into our lives, giving it some sort of purpose. Without these dreams our lives would be empty.

The Importance of Having Hope.
If those opposing Hitler had not had hope of success they never would have tried to defeat Hitler or the Nazi Regime and Hitler would have easily won over the entire planet.
Hope is what gives us the idea that we have a chance, hope tells us that “we can do this”, and that “success is achievable”.
Feeling Hopeful is the driving force that brings our dreams to reality and brings our attempts to success.
Hope creates within us the desire to achieve, move forward, to defeat our foe, and to make the world a better place.
Hope, like it did to defeat Hitler, should drive you forward to do what you need to do.
