We were physically created from the dirt, this makes our bodies physical.
Our souls are from God this makes them Heavenly. As our bodies were created from the earth, our bodies have some of the weaknesses the same as other animals:

We need food.
We need water.
We need to reproduce etc.

Our earthly lust are from the physical world. These lust are not (originally) from our souls.

We worship God our creator because He is the one who made us who we are and He loves us in the full sense of the spiritual way. God is spiritual, not physical.

Animals are simple in mind. We should never expect more from them than what is easily possible for them to do. If we must take Gods creatures into our lives then we must also have the common sense to treat them in a good way as they are simple in mind and they cannot (not will not) be able to fully understand us as another human can.

When we pray to God we should pray with our hearts and not our mouths or mind. God loves us with His spiritual heart, not His words. So we need to reply to God with our spiritual heart.
