Holiness

Read the Bible.
Be good in nature, clean in spirit.
Follow Jesus’s example.
Follow the Ten Commandments.
Be humble.

Finally after you have done all that you think that you can to improve you self confidence you then need to call to God for His help. Your trust in God needs to be complete and your faith in His wisdom and guidance total in its want for help.

A person who has had a tough life tends to have a view of the world that is hardened with time. This man may rebel against the world or be crushed slowly under its weight of despair. In either situation neither man can be his real self or have a real connection with God in the way that he would want. What this man needs is to believe in himself and in the world before he can accept God or even himself into his trust. For instance if you had a very low confidence (opinion) in yourself then would you trust yourself? Of course not.

People who have had a bad life (mistreated by humans) seem to feel a deep need to consciously or subconsciously blame somebody for their life so they aim the blame at God. You are not likely to trust God when you think that He has had something to do with your bad childhood or miserable years. Some people logic-it away with “God gave me life on this planet and if he hadn’t done that I would be in the predicament that I am in, so its his fault!” Whatever the case or reason for the blame it does no good.

First we need to remove all worry and hassle from our life, while learning to relax and enjoy life as best as we can in the situation that we are in. We need to remove all ungodly habits, thoughts and the like from our being so that God can live within us.

One must have a good spiritual and physical mental balance.

The first rule if you tell your congregation not to sin is to show them how not to sin. Don’t leave them high & dry. In other words don’t demand and then walk away when your brethren fail.
