The easiest things to ignore are the things that we don’t want to see – Marie T. Freeman.
And that is why so many people are easily manipulated, they don’t want to believe that their manipulators are using and abusing them, so they prefer to live a lie and look the other way pretending that everything is alright, and that they are in good hands.

Manipulate:
(Google)

Manipulators desire power, it fills their ego to feel in control of people and situations.
The power they desire may not be too control the company they work for, or to boss many people around, it may just be to control one person’s life, or to control the family.
They can be pushy, loud and forceful. If something happens that they are not happy about they can have a tantrum, be mean to those who made the mistake, or who failed, or just be mean someone near by because they want to vent.
Not they are generally won’t take out their anger on a “favourite” person, or someone who they are trying to impress or who can help them in some way.
Also they know that if they are loud they can influence gentle souls to do as they are told by using fear.
Be warned that manipulator types “Play the victim” because this is a very effective way to get public support, sympathy, loyalty and Police support (or what looks like Police support). Flying Monkeys are often seduced into working for the narcissist by the narcissist/s playing the victim.
