It was considered great bad luck or a bad Omen to kill or harm an albatross. Sailors were very spiritual and some say superstitious, and they had many strange beliefs that landlubbers were unable to understand. But if someone killed or harmed an albatross it was bad for them. People were, in some places, killed for killing an albatross.
Give Them What They Want
When I was homeschooling my children a woman from the Education Review Office visited, and at the door she told us that if we did not satisfy her she would take the children’s school exemptions of them.
We were horrified. Then she came in and was nasty, demanding and a bully. She gave up teaching to be an ERO Officer who checked on home-school families to ensure that they copy school teachers.
We were rebels and we didn’t want to do that. But we needed to get this woman off our back. She told us that she would be back in a week or fortnight (don’t remember) and she would decide our fate then. My wife and I had no idea how to deal with her, because everything we tried failed and she was full on attack – I think her goal was to bully children back to school by pushing the parents around and denying them exemptions.
Then one day it hit me while I was using my computer, the Penny Dropped, and I realised that since she was a teacher all I needed to do for that one visit was to give her exactly what she wanted, tell her what she wanted to hear, and imitate being a teacher.
So, we set up the hall, lounge, kitchen like classrooms, and the children’s artwork put on the walls, with all sorts of other things, children activities, exams, and so on.
When the woman visited, clearly intending to end it all for us, walked into the hall she stared shocked, and said something like, “Now, this is what I am talking about.” and she went through the house and saw a school classroom, and when she talked to us we replied as teachers, and we passed with flying colours and we never saw her again 🙂
Well, that is not totally true, my wife talked to her on the phone when she was with WINZ and she was not an ERO Officer anymore.
It may seem dishonest, but when you are faced with people like this woman, what you do is just tell them what they want to hear and they will leave you alone.
Its also an idea way to deal with a Narcissist manipulator, because they are owned by their pride, egos, materialism, so tell them how much they have been helpful to you, tell them what builds up their ego’s, act thankful, and when you can escape to somewhere safe.
Motivation is to bring yourself to do something. You “have” to feel motivated, it cannot be faked or pushed upon you, it is in the inner you, and it must be fed with the joy of living and life. With God we have the greatest source of energy and love. That is a good motivator just knowing that there is something so wonderful as love and God. May 7th 2013 Inspirational Quotes.
Because the world today is Materialistic, we have been taught to focus of the material and not the spiritual, and every now and then the spiritual comes through (especially when we are traumatized, tired, struggling etc). But when glimpses of the spiritual, such as a premonition comes through we freak, run to a doctor or therapist, and are taught to discard any red flags, warnings, and so on in favour of being “accepted” back in to the fake world of materialism.
Because of my introduction in to the Spiritual by my mother as a child I was able, as an adult, see things and understand what they are and not freak out and go crazy and seek help from materialistic people and drugs.

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said “I don’t think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat.” “Is the man of the house home?”, they asked.
“No”, she said. “He’s out.”
“Then we cannot come in”, they replied.
In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.
“Go tell them I am home and invite them in!” The woman went out and invited the men in. “We do not go into a House together,” they replied. “Why is that?” she wanted to know.
One of the old men explained: “His name is Wealth,” he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, “He is Success, and I am Love.” Then he added, “Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home.”

“Let us heed our daughter-in-law’s advice,” said the husband to his wife. “Go out and invite Love to be our guest.”
The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, “Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest.”
Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him.
Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: “I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?”
The old men replied together: “If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would’ve stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him.
Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success.

You may notice lots of people a hundred years ago with negative sayings about alcohol, drugs and parties, this is because back then to the wise thee activities were foolish, today even the educated, those with knowledge, even those who know history, they welcome booze, drugs and parties, because they are immature and none are wise.
No one can hand genuine love in a future that was created by the lies of the past.
A Foundation of Love, must be created by faith, trust, honesty, innocence and goodwill.
If part or all of the Foundation of a relationship is dishonesty, lies, unfaithfulness, and so on, then this rot will set in and destroy the marriage.
