I was asked this years ago by a person who had gone to university and used to be a believer in God, but was now a student Atheist. She was very angry at God for various things and she demanded of me on Facebook, why did God allow Wars.

At first I was at a loss, but I prayed about it.

What people who are not believers in God don’t understand is that when people ask Believers a hard question, we want to answer it truthfully, but we are also very aware that many believers and non-believers want to find out that answer as well, so I was a tad nervous about answering this big question.

The answer came to me a few hours later.

The reply I gave her was that God had nothing to do with any wars, and God did not start any wars, it was people that started the wars, and people who filled up the armies, air forces, navy and so force.

Using Hitler as an example. Hitler got the people riled up, positive for war, and alone h was unable to start a war, but with the backing of millions of people in Germany and a few nations he went to war. Alone Hitler could not start a war, but people in large numbers backed Hitler, they supported Hitlers, cause, and they went to war for Hitler, the nation, and many for the Nazi party.

Free Will is when we choose.
God can lead us to people, books, ideas, anything to help us see the huge error and great losses if we were to start a war. But when the people are excited about war, think it is a worthy cause, they desire the war more than peace, and they hear nothing from God and they ignore anything about peace or what goes against their wants.

Go up to a party goer and tell her that getting stoned and drunk is pure foolishness and she must stop it. Will she stop it? No, neither will anyone who is thrilled and excited about something, and whether it is good for them or not does not come in to the equation.

God does not start wars, people start wars.

Look at your History books at all the wars that have ever been, and you will see that a human started that war, with the backing of many other humans.

At High School a school teacher asked us students if we would fight in a war, and we all said no. We were nearing the age of acceptence if a war started, we were only a few years off, so war seemed foolih, and movies and TV taught us so.

But the teacher then said, “So if New Zealand was being invaded you would let the invading army kill, rape, and abuse your families.” and we all stared in shock, we had not thought of it that way.
We all said after his comment that in that case we would all fight to save our families.
