From time to time the local council has the lake drained to kill off the seaweed, or to do repairs etc.
I homeschooled my children, and one day I took them down to the lake and decided to video what we did and also for historical reasons show the lake on video as well. The foot path was new at this stage, now in 2026 some of it has been replaced due to it cracking, and the tall old wooden fort with the long steel slide is gone.
