I recall a story I wrote a while back about God protecting us with force from a much greater harm or devastating future.

We all wish that we could have a crystal ball that was perfectly accurate and would show us the way
– but life would not be worth living if we were not able to make our own choices and it shows intelligence and a wish to be a better person who chooses good over bad in their life.

Ask a child and the child would say that an adult would be foolish to choose a bad life over a good life, but sadly many do.
And as that very same child grows up they are conditioned by a lost society and peer pressure to do as they once thought was foolish.
One of the reasons Jesus said that we were to be like a child is that the child see the simplicity between right and wrong while us adults tend to dress up foolish things and then call them fun while slowly destroying our health and our life.

Matthew Chapter_18, verse 3:
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Do we really think that God approves of us choosing self destruction over a good life?
If you have prayed to God in the past and asked God to help you then God will.
If you are blinded by friends, family self delusions and other feelings do you still expect God to keep you from the bad life and from great harm? We do!
If God didn’t help us we would call Him an unloving God. Whether you understand what God is doing in your life or not God does keep on trying to help you and get you back on the right track.

A dog who run off a cliff because he didn’t see the cliff as he was chasing a butterfly or something like that, I don’t remember.
But anyway, the little dogs fate was set because he wasn’t paying attention to where he was going and he was in his own little dream world chasing a butterfly.
He survived and fell into the sea.

After my son told me that story the thought of God saving us from disaster came to mind.
Now lets just imagine an adult walking along the cliff and seeing a teenager running towards the edge of the cliff, the teenager not seeing where he is going to end up, maybe flying a kite or something else totally caught up in the fun of the moment.
The adult starts to run towards the teenager and he yells a warning.
The teenager is aware of a faint voice in the wind but is so excited by what he or she is doing that the fun is far more important.

Finally at the cliff edge they both meet and the man plows into the teenager with a powerful shoulder charge with all his might to smash the teenager away from the edge.
Down goes the teenager and twists breaks his leg in the fall. In pain and agony the shocked teenager looks at the man with great hurt and angry accusation on his face.
The man doesn’t say anything he just points over the side at the drop, and the teenager just stares in apologetic shock realizing what was about to happen if he had not been shoulder charged by the man.

What does this mean to you and I?
Would you save your child by hard physical force if he or she were going to run into danger?
The answer from any good parent is yes. And so would God.

So if you have been out drinking with the mates and found yourself awake at 4 in the morning being violently ill it may be that you are being shown the error of your ways,
– whatever the case what you were doing was wrong and not good for you now and not good for your future – God has much better plans for you than that life.

If you find that you have a broken leg or some injury like that then you now have some months to think about what happened (and consider where your life was headed up to that point) and God will use that time to get us back on the right track “if we will listen.”

I firmly believe that if we look close enough and keep trying to understand we get the answers to the questions that we ask of God.
I am very interested in how God does things and what God does to try to help us.
And like any good decent parent He may just have to chastise us to get us back on the track of His path for us before we willingly are about to destroy our future and the wonderful plans that God has for us.

Keep the faith. Stay with God through all things and be dedicated with your whole entire heart and soul.
Concentrate on daily change for self improvement.
Remember that the believer in God is to change from one person to become another – all things become new – do this, be this, live this with all your heart and soul.
Remember, God is not to be mocked.

All the best and lots of love
