Overthinking Kills Progress

Overthinking kills progress.
I had times where things would look good and then I would worry, become anxious, think of this and that and all the angles, and then finally talk myself out of it.

So I told myself to be mindful of what is going on in my mind and when I was driving myself crazy to go for a walk, watch something I really wanted like a good movie, or ring someone positive up, or do some Facebooking posting positive images and articles etc, messaging and commenting. And listening to some good happy music.
By stopping the negative thoughts immediately then new positive thoughts come up in time.

It is a well known thing that once we take our mind off problems that answers come to us when we are least expecting them.

Overthinking stops this progress. Overthinking clouds the mind, and that causes the mind to focus on the negatives and many variables instead of just on what we need to think about.

I think that overthinking can be a habit, and once in it, it may seem comforting, but in reality it is something to be aware of and to stop as fast as possible. It is a lot like negative thinking all the time. I was always doing that in the past.
Some people can cause us to overthink, especially when we are about to do something that they don’t want us to do.
So they start telling us all the defeating negatives about it, how we will fail, why we are hopeless, anything that they can say to stop us.
Those words that they say start the negative thoughts in our mind, and then we start to doubt what we were so sure about 5 minutes earlier. We hesitate, and then can give in to their attacks.
Those who oppose us know that a constant barrage of their negative attacks will cause anxieties, fears, worry and defeat, so they attack full on. When you see a family (or some group of people) do this to one family member it is shocking how the family can kill a person’s happiness and dreams.
This is why we are encouraged to gain self control and to be mature. We need to be mindful of what goes on in our mind, and mindful of how we react to what we think, and what we won’t do or try if we entertain negative thoughts and defeating thoughts.

Then we need to break the habit. And replace the negative thinking with a positive view of life and what we want to do in the future. And distance ourselves from those who try to defeat our life progress.
All the best from
