Your Personal History can Help You!

One of the weapons that we have in life is our own personal history.

We can look back and see what we did in the past and either do it again because it worked or try something else because what we did in the past didn’t work. This is fine and works well until it comes up to *a brick wall called “What we prefer to believe!”
*
Example:
I knew a woman who was being visited by a married man. He was wanting an affair, some sex on the side and to keep it causal.
The woman involved was not a woman of high morals but something about this man she didn’t like and she didn’t want anything to do with him.
He was so arrogant about the whole thing that he visited her home (a few times) with his car in her driveway and the woman’s children and best friend were in the house. This showed that he was not frightened of his wife finding out. The woman told him to leave and said that she didn’t want a affair with him even though he was a successful businessman. It appears that his status and wealth was his lure to seduce housewives.
Then this woman and her best friend rang up the wife to tell her what her husband was up to. They wanted him caught out (some revenge) but they also wanted her to know that she was being treated disrespectfully. They told the whole story, they told of evidence. Both said that they were witnesses and that his car was in her driveway and that other people would have seen it.
But it did not matter how much thy tried to convince the wife she refused blankly to believe that her husband was trying to have affairs with other women. She cried on the phone about how cruel they were to suggest such things etc. She had a truth that “she preferred to believe” and she was having nothing to do with anything that would take her out of that Comfort Zone of lies that she had surrounded herself with.
We humans all cry for the truth off the Government, the local authorities, Big Business, Politicians, and when we get lies off them we test it against our comfort zone view and we believe the lies because the lies and delusion comfort us. We find it so hard to believe that the Government, local authorities, a parent, a friend, etc would tell us lies that would harm us.
Delusion, the comfort of lies and a Belief System that suits a Comfort Zone that “we prefer to believe in”. Evidence not required or needed, and if plain clear evidence is seen we either ignore it, or allow the liars to convince us that the evidence was a delusion and that all is well.
The Truth will never set us free unless we are willing to look out of our Comfort Zone and see what the Truth really is. What I have discovered is that all the evidence in the world will not convince someone who is refusing to see the truth because it disrupts the false belief that they want to believe is true.
