Saul from the Bible, what a man as Saul. Violent, a killer, and wanting to see death and destruction come to all Christians. We must assume that because Saul changed from a violent man to a meek humble man which became Paul that something, maybe many things that we don’t know about, made Paul violent in the first place.

 

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

God saw the wonderful meek humble person in Paul like God also sees in you and I. We have all struggled with believing ourselves at sometime in our lives. Due to the way that we may have treated people in the past, and things that we did that were wrong, the people we hurt etc all helped change us from the person that God planned that we become.

 

Now we would gladly accept Paul into our homes even though we know what a horrible judgmental person he used to be. How about accepting other people into our homes, those who want to change and become new?

It does not matter who you are, God sees the good in you. It doesn’t matter if the person has done terrible deeds, God sees the good in them. God will give them back their respect. God will teach them love. God will give them a new life. All these things will come to those who accept Christ and repent because they don’t want to go back to that old life.

 

This is why we cannot judge others. This is why we cannot accuse others. They have started out as new born babies, an unwritten book, and then due to their life and their reaction to life they became who they are as an adult, and it is up to you and I to see what God sees in them – the original basic person who hasn’t done wrong – the person who will be born again when God has forgiven that person. God sees in a person who is bad as an opportunity. Someone who can come to Christ and become new. Salvation is theirs, if they want it.

 

The world sees criminals as people to judge and lock up or punish. God knows that those who won’t come to Him will go to jail eventually or be punished in due season because of the wrongs that they have done to others. People need to repent before it is too late.

God wants to change them and make them who they were meant to be. God wants them to become new. God wants to give them hope and a new life, a new beginning and a new chance to make good and start again.

So when someone come to us wanting help, security, faith, hope and a new chance to a new life we should give them that. We must be a safe house for the suffering souls that need guidance and are willing to repent and come to Christ.

God will show the people who to come to, and if they are wise they will learn. It takes courage to go from being a sinner who doubted God and loved society to loving and accepting God. It takes time and courage to accept that God does exist. But God is always rounding up new Christians to follow Him and to people who will guide them and change their lives forever. People that the lost can trust.
