Run from Temptations.

 

With Jesus we have the example of a man guiding and shepherding a person or people to a better understanding and a better lifestyle.

With society we have a group of people surrounding a person and shepherding that person to become like them.
The wolves can be many surrounding the lamb who wants to be innocent and not deny God, but the surrounding wolves can be very convincing and even demanding as they lead the innocent away to the life that will deny the innocent a good decent life.

 

Peer pressure is strong, very strong. And even more so when the wolves are friends and family, and they surround their victim and leaving only one direction to follow unless the intended victim is very strong willed. To escape to safer territory is the wise thing to do.

They say that safety is in numbers but not when the crowd are the wolves gleefully leading innocents astray. It is hard to say that we had a good start in life when older people led us astray before we even got a chance to decide what was what about life. Safety is in the one and not in numbers. The one being Christ.

 

God is fair and we do get choices. So if the crowd seduces us off into a direction that will cause our future devastation and unhappiness then we have chosen to deny God, to deny God’s help in our lives, and we choose to turn down the destiny that God has for us. God is always waiting to take us back. But when we come back to God we will be carrying even more baggage and be even more unhappy and older, and have the physical and emotional scars of the life we lived without God.

Before following the crowd, old friends and the old life and old ways do consider your future and where you will be in the future by following the lost now. It may seem like fun, but sinful times have a price and it is you that pays that price. Be wise and run from the ways of the crowd.
