Some thoughts on caring and sacrifices for people we love. Caring for the people of the world etc.
To be a servant of humankind is to submit to God, show your love, are forgiving, and to be fair at all times, sacrifices need to be made and decent people will do this when the need arises. If feet need cleaning or nappies changed, then change them without argument because they need doing. I greatly admire people who go into home to help people who are desperately in need of someone to help them because they cannot dress, shower, bath, because they physically cannot. It is so nice to know that some people will put themself through so much to help another person who needs that help. Stay at home Mums are wonderful and very much in need in every family.
Love is the most powerful force that exists. Add love to forgiveness and you have a very, very powerful combination. You cannot forgive without a true loving heart. When you see the pain that people have felt and had to deal with you can see how God can forgive – and you can do this as well. Forgiveness frees the forgiver of pain and anguish, and frees the guilty so that they can start again. And maybe, just maybe, they can become good friends as we are all supposed to be.
If you just want things for the people, genuinely, from deep in the heart? Then what? Lets think about that? Hmmm we are taught to “go for it!” “Shoot for the big goal” for ourselves. Right? I wonder which god would support that, the God that wants everybody happy and looked after or just the god that wants everything best for just you, or at least for you to believe that you should do things for just you or just mainly pray for you?
The second option is very much in favour the Self. The Self wants the best for itself. Share your life. Care for other people on your way to where ever you are going yourself. If you focus on only your future and career it is like a torch beam, you see nothing all around the beam. Doing this you miss the world as you go by it and all you see is a goal, and lose real friends, marriages, children etc. Keep your focus on people and love while you go about your life and you will die a rich man in spirit and that feeling goes beyond the grave – while the physical riches of earth stay here on earth and you cannot take them with you after you die. Good loving people leave a legacy of fond memories on the mind of all the people that they come across.
Luke Chapter10, verse 30-37: And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
