In a movie of Zorro, the wife of Don Diego de la Vega (Zorro) is whisked away and she is distancing herself from Don Diego de la Vega because she thinks that it will keep him safe (Her captors told her so, so she believed them) but the reality is that Don Diego de la Vega can look after himself. Her staying away was doing him more harm than good.

Her captors wanted to use Zorro’s wife and they could not do that if she was back with Zorro, so they tricked her, they lied. She fell for the trick and did as they said.

Don Diego de la Vega (Zorro) got very jealous, angry and upset at her because she kept her distance. He did not understand why she was trying to avoid him. He did not understand her position truthfully, and she did not understand his position truthfully.

Both were kept apart due to a big misunderstanding, and only when they got together they were able to communicate honesty and discover that “both misunderstood the others position”, and that they also did not understand up to that point that both were innocent and had no reason to distance each other.

Only honest communication and courage “from both of them” saved the day so that they could be together forever.
