I was just going over Hank Marvin’s “Wonderful Land” on my guitar, just before that I was writing an article for a site, and I got to thinking about the test that I took years ago that said that I was Center-Brain. Meaning that the results were found that I am logical, common sense etc and “arty”, I don’t lean either way, I am Center-Brain. I am neither macho or nerdy, I am in between and capable of both.

If political people were Center-Brain then they would be able to understand everyone’s views, needs, wants, have empathy for all and unselfishly make their country a worthy place. Instead they admit and are proud of being left or right, and this has them blind to understanding those who are proud that they are the opposite.

If my thoughts on this are correct, I think that it is God’s goal for all of us to be Center-Brain. If we are center brain then we enjoy the arts and using our heart and mind together.

In schooling I noticed that if a child was good at sport he or she was encouraged, even pushed to try and succeed in this area where the person seems to be good at.
°
I have read about and known many people who were pushed into sports, writing, math, etc because they were good at it and they thrived at it (mostly it was focused on because this was the first talent noticed that this child was good at, but if left they would have found many more), but it wasn’t that person’s life dream, they wanted something else. But of course the struggle against peer pressure and adults pushing the child along until it is sadly too late and the career has taken on a life of its own, and they find that they now must succeed because now everyone expects it of them.
°
People need to give us a chance to find ourselves when we are young, with no pressure and lots of favorable encouragement. Most people will find that they have many different talents and can do many things very well. But if forced to focus on one subject the others fall to the side, or we never have the time to discover them, so they remain dormant forever, never to be used and the happiness from discovering them and the joy they would have brought never found.

I often advise “doing your own thing” for the reason of finding out who you are and what you really want your own life to be. This often cannot be discovered in 10 years or even 20 years, as we grow we learn. School pressures us to perform, to obey, to follow and to achieve according to societies standards, but not too the innocent yearning of our heart.
°
Your own personal growth, enjoyments, happiness and destiny are very, very important, and they need to be discovered “by only you”.

This can only happen in a very fair unselfish environment, a safe haven, a place where other people’s opinions, attitudes, and selfishness are not allowed to cloud the day.

I do believe that Jesus and all the Prophets were Center-Brain, and that helped them when debating with people and seeing all sides of the situation.
