I once read about a famous motivator who met a person who had read one of his books and said that it was good reading, but “It didn’t do me any good. In fact none of the books I read about becoming motivated did me any good!”
The author looked at the person who had read his book and asked, “Did you apply anything in the book to your life?”
And there was the problem.
Do you go to web sites and read and read, hoping to change but not putting what you read into action?
Do you get inspirational information from others sources and still not gain?
The answer is in the doing. If we simply read the information, and don’t act on what we read, then nothing changes, and the information because it is not important to you will simply disappear from your thoughts, and off you will go chasing some other dreams which you will not act on.
Some people read books on self-improvement like some people go in diets, they go with every fad that comes their way. Everytime a new motivator shines and has a best seller they rush out and buy it and read it with great enthusiasm and then the same nothing happens. They don’t change and their life stays the same and doesn’t improve.
With each book sale the motivator becomes even more richer and more famous.
When God helps you there comes a time when God waits to see what you have gained from the lessons. If you fail the test you stay the same and God takes you through it all again. The choice is yours to gather up your courage and act.
You must do the doing. You must take the first step, the middle step and last step to improve your life. You must choose to act or not to act. You must change things in your life by doing what you know that you must.
Don’t be shy! Go for it!
No one else can make your life change but you. Even though you may not see tomorrow, or see around the corner, or know what will happen you must go with faith. You must believe, and you must stay strong in faith and courage. You must do what you have to do to make your life be what you want it to grow into and what you want it to be.
All the best from James M Sandbrook.
