Face the truth, don’t Lie to Yourself.

Some of the most bitter people that I have ever met are those that lie to themselves refusing to face the truths or refusing to apologize for the bad or mean things that they have done.

They suffer all through their lives, and if we try to get it across to them that it is their own attitude that is the problem, and the things that they lie to themselves about they get angry, refusing to listen.

They don’t want to face guilt, so they justify their ways, but as they go through life they pay for the type of person that they are.

They are never happy, they seldom apologize, and they are blaming others for the situation that they are in, the situation that they refuse to put the blame where it really lies, and that is with themselves.

Blaming others solves nothing, except it helps keep them from facing what they really are, and what they really have become.

Facing the truth means seeing what defects that we have in our own character and making the required changes to improve our own character.

Doing this means that we become honest, stop lying to ourselves and to others, and we bless our own future with our new courage and dedication to change.

The alcoholic cannot change until she admits that she has a problem. The same is for the person who blames other people for their own faults, addictions, and bad behavior.

For our own sake, we must be brave and face the truths about ourselves.

All the best from James M Sandbrook.
