Isaiah Chapter 12, verse 2:
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
°
What good news God is our Salvation. God is to be trusted so much so that we should not be afraid. When we trust that much we have a beautiful song in our heart that reaches the world through our voice in psalms, hymns and songs of joy.
°
“I will trust, and not be afraid”
°
Psalm 46, verse 1-3:
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.
°
Even though there is turmoil all around us, as long as our faith is strong in God we don’t have to be afraid. We can be wary and wonder what will happen next. We can wonder how God will get us out of this latest mess or trouble that has come our way. We do not need to fear, we can face the challenge much easier and calmer if we let go of that fear that holds us back and blocks the path to safety.
We have all struggled with fear at times in our lives. The important thing is to learn from those occasions and believe in the Living God, the Creator of all things and know that God is there for you at every moment of the day and night. All those blessings, amazing coincidences, things that you have experienced, and when God has helped you out in hard times are evidence of God’s work in your life. You believe, you pray, and you need not fear.
It is part of the devilish plan to make you feel that you are worthless, and that what you did under the guidance of people that follow devilish plans that you are not worthy of God’s blessings, love and destiny.
You are worthy, you were created in the image of God – “Hey that’s says it all!” That makes you worthy, even though right now you could feel very filthy, very unclean, very dirty. God forgives, God heals, God brings you to a new future with your help. Under God’s loving caring guidance you become clean, good and loving. You become a Light in the world with your new understanding of love and life.
°
It is not instant magic, you have to walk side by side with God to have that new future and part of the struggle is learning to trust God so very much that God will protect you on a day to day, mission to mission, challenge by challenge basis.
°
If we have trust in God but we lose that trust because of some event or feelings or people (Adam and Eve and the sneaky snake etc) talk us out of our beliefs and our trust fades and fear grows. Then when fear (Satan) guides us we back off worried about the outcome. Fear destroys our judgments and we choose to do things out of fear instead of having faith that God will see us through His plan for us. When fears are ruling our life we are being ruled by Satan.
Fears can cause people to be nasty, sneaky and seek hateful revenge for imaginary wrongs. Fears conjure up many feelings that shouldn’t exist and cause people to destroy things/people that they don’t understand. Fears cause people to attack and destroy victims of gossipers because fear drives good citizens to doing unjust things.
Peter in the New Testament denied Jesus three times out of fear. Though finally greatly ashamed he let fear control what he did and what he said instead of being strong and faithful. When times get tough we want strong friends who love God and trust God at our side to help and support us through.
Under God’s rule we were all supposed to be raised in good godly families. But in these modern times that is not very often. In that nice family we would have parents that would welcome us coming to challenges and they would step back and watch us make choices and they would guide us and show us the way with good advice and lessons. We would just grow happily from the experiences, and we would welcome the challenges that tested our minds and our bodies. And when young and teenage temptations came our way we would be ready for them, pre-warned and armed with loving advice, common-sense and knowledge.
Being raised in toxic families and having been confused and lost in those important growing years Satan can use our confused and lost emotions against us. Satan builds our lusts into weaknesses that can control us. Leaving us very unprepared for adulthood. As teenagers we don’t know who to listen to so we simply continue to listen to our peers and those who originally led us astray.
Satan loves to take advantage of any weaknesses that we have, past wounds, mistakes, sins and will go to great lengths to remind us of them so that we will stop believing in ourselves and won’t believe in a God who could possibly like us. We feel lost and defeated when we allow Satan to do this. This feeling of being worthless and useless can become a destructive habit. We must gain positive control of our minds and deny negative thoughts and negative feelings.
The last thing that evil wants you to do is get any form of helpful treatment and God will always guide you to the treatment that will help you. Evil will keep you from seeking real help and will choke the hope from your life and guide you in unfruitful ways to keep you lost and confused and ruled by fear. Through the fears created by evil you will go round and round in lost circles never finding an answer.
Anxiety can hold us back and stop us from leaving our homes, or doing good things that will change our lives. Evil feeds anxiety with many weapons carefully built to destroy your faith in yourself and in God. Christ is the healer, Satan wants you far from Christ and will use many means of fear to steer you away from help and Salvation.
Fears hold us back and we drag them around with us day after day and they greatly affect our life. It could be just as small fearful thoughts at the back of our mind or great terrifying thoughts that bring on great fears and worries that end in panic attacks.
Proverbs Chapter 3, verses 5-7:
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
When a person is living in fear they should not lean into their own understanding of the situation but instead they need to trust God and follow God’s guidance.
°
We have all faced it and we have all fallen to Satan’s will because of it. Be brave, be bold and don’t let fear control you. The first step to realizing that you have a problem is to recognize that fear is ruling your live and the next thing to do is get help from the right people.
