The Effects of TV, Movies and Modern Entertainment on the Growing Mind.

In the past before TV, radio and movies, people saw what they saw and that was their memories. The more emotion, anger and such the more the memory stayed with them or taught them something, but it was all real.
We humans, we learn this way.

Today people see what is presented to them as entertainment on TV, from radio, and movies, even books and magazines, thus creating a sort of fake world of which we are apart of yet not part of at all except viewing or reading it.

Our emotions can be stirred up, we can get excited, angry, scared and so on as a result of entertainments, but the entertainment is not real, at least not real to us. The News on TV may be real to someone across the country, but not to us at home.

Our Subconscious Mind see’s what we see, and interprets it as real unless it is cartoons or totally unreal. But horror movies can be interpreted as actually happening and can cause mental struggles to the viewer in the future, like making that person nervous, anxious and such.

When children are put in front of the TV as a child, they often think that the characters are real, later on they are told that the fluffy puppets are not real, but for a while they did believe them to be real, and because of that the children’s programs can affect the child’s mental growth, confusing the child, interrupting growth, causing the child to believe in things that don’t exist. But what’s worse is that they carry on watching TV for the rest of their lives.

When you realise that before movies and TV children grew up actually really experiencing life first hand they learned what worked, did not work, failed, succeed, and so forth, and this became the foundation of their childhood that grew to a strong firm foundation that carried that person through life.

All the confusions from cartoons that are deemed harmless, yet violent’s cartoons like Roadrunner, or the narcissistic nature of Fred Flintstone, Brats and so on, can cause a child to struggle to interpret real from fake, and as a teenager, young adult, can make many foolish choices from that confusion because their mental thinking capacity was never formed maturely, thus as teenager and young adults they struggle to cope in life.

I also noted that when someone on TV was seen as funny and was a bully, sarcastic yet people laughed as they watched it, the young mind can interpret this as if he or she copied that bully or sarcastic person people will see he or she as funny, and if they bully someone at school other children will actually laugh (as they tend to do) and that will be proof to the TV viewer that being a bully is harmless and fun.

We need to realise that you people, and many older people are Immature and they do not or are unable to understand in a mature way that the TV show is not real life. An example of this is that many actors and actresses are often greeted by the public by the name of the character they play on the TV or movie. Many actors and actresses who have played the bad person on movies or TV have been yelled at and verbally abused in public because the grown adults see them as the real version of the fake character that they play on TV. If adults cannot tell the difference, how can we expect children to do so.

There have been numerous studies that show the way that TV movies, computer gaming and such mess up people’s minds, but they make billions of dollars a year, thus no government will ever do anything to stop them from being accessible to the general public, thus if a person was to progress, cope, and be able to regrow his or herself into a mature stable person they need to remove what is messing them up.

I gave up public TV back in 1994. I watch movies and some TV series (very few), but I buy the DVD’s or watch them online with no advertising, and I pick and choose what I want to watch.

The thing about Maturity, is being able to recognize that you do have a choice to do what you want. When I visit people and they all sit down to watch TV I go outside or go for a walk, or even on some occasions I just go home. The endless loud drone of TV advertising actually gives me a headache these days. But not so for the billions worldwide who watch TV everyday, they become used to that unnatural noise and accept it in to their lives, but it messes up the mental function of the mind because it is not a natural peaceful noise like nature is, and natures noise is natural.

The other point is that your life will in no way suffer if you remove TV and such entertainment from your life, except that people whoa re addicted to TV will think that you are weird, so be weird, and be proud of it, and with the free time that you have from not watching TV use it to educate yourself for a career or something interesting.

Everything I write is a suggestion, and I try to explain the logic behind it. It is you who chooses what you will believe or not believe.
