Getting over a real or imagined irrational fear

Getting over a real or imagined irrational fear starts with confronting the fear or coming into contact with the fear once in a while.
This allows the person to face the irrational fear and see it for what it really is and not what the mind has made it out to be, or what others may pretend that it is. .

At first a person can face anxiety, apprehension, but a calming effect comes from the new revelation that “the fear” was a construction of the imagination and nothing real. Regular contact with the irrational fears shows us this.

As confidence and courage grow one can get used to the irrational fear and the anxiety, worries, etc, fade away, and can even leave a desire to face the fear because of the feeling of achievement in getting over the fear.
🌈
A person at this stage of healing and recovery can come to look forward to being in the space of what they once feared as they adjust their view of the irrational fear and see it for what it has always been, nothing to fear.

Healing takes time. Be patient. Enjoy the new feelings, enjoy the courage growing within, feel the confidence that is a result of the healing and overcoming the irrational fears, learn so it will not happen again.

Accept the challenge, because as you do, you become a stronger person for it.
