I grew up with drugs and alcohol around me due to my parents lifestyle, so alcohol was something all us children would do because it was so natural, so part of our everyday lives. We humans can be like monkeys, what we see we do, our parents good and bad habits influence us far more than we realise and because of that we do what they do or worse.
I new a Maori guy who parents were always hitting the booze, so when he became a teenager he asked his dad if he could drink with him and his mates. The father said no way, so the son ended up sniffing petrol with his own mates.
All the best from James Martin Sandbrook.
