I remember a story in a martial arts magazine.

I remember a story in a martial arts magazine.

A Navy boxing champion and his friends were at an airport and there was this little thin Chinese guy taking on challengers. The Navy man was proud, loud, and believed that he would easily beat this little man. The Navy man was big, so to him this was a breeze.
He took on the little guy and never landed a punch. The little man was Bruce Lee giving a martial arts demonstration.

A person’s appearance does not show the fire burning within their soul, does not show their courage, stubbornness and determination, does not show their talents and abilities, and does not show their past and their desire to not be taken advantage of again.

I remember sparring with this 6 foot truck driver and he was complaining that I was hurting him. I told him to give what he got. To me the pain was progress, etc. We had a different attitude to success and what was going on.

Looks are deceiving, many have paid the price the hard way because of foolish youth, arrogance and pride.

There was this guy who fought on stage. Part of his act was wrestling with a bear and breaking a block of ice with his head. He was strong and tough. And this little old man approached him and challenged him. The other guy naturally was hesitant, but he gave in and the little old man beat him easily. He went on to teach the strong man how to use martial arts by using pressure points, using the opponents energy and power against them etc.

Looks are deceiving.
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
