Liars will sound knowledgeable, amazing, clever, and competent to us when we are unconfident, and when we are gullible and full of fears.
We are easy victims and are eagerly and easily seduced by what seems true and common sense, but is really fed into our mind to create more fears, confusion and to keep us in their control.
°
As time goes on and our confidence grows, our fears diminish, and we are less gullible. We suddenly find ourselves doubting the “stories” that we were told. We don’t really know why, but now those stories we heard in the past seem foolish and hard to believe, and in our own mind we start to question what they told us before.
°
The reason for the change in our minds is that when we were unconfident, gullible and living in fear, we were “willing to accept any story” as long as it gives us a feeling of security, safety and even possibly justice.
°
So in that weakened mental state we are willing to believe that our tormentors are our saviors, and that whatever they say and said must be the truth because we always believed in them to a fair degree in the past. And we may desperately need someone to support us because a person knows that in a state of terrified fear and low confidence that we are not capable of looking after ourself.
°
But taking in lies leads to the death of the freedom and happiness, a weakened foundation of life, and no satisfaction.
°
The truth (the good news, the Gospel of life) is like “the water of life and who drinks of that fountain will never grow thirsty again”. Truth is the freedom and what brings nourishment to the spirit, body and soul.
°
Truth comes to us with time and our own personal spiritual growth. Our confidence grows, our courage grows, and with that our questioning power grows, so we become more curious about what we were told to accept and believe in the past.
°
* When we are gullible, we tend to accept anything as the truth.
* When we are confident we question and think about everything we were once told and what we are currently being told.
°
Mature people often think about things quietly in their own mind. We don’t talk about our suspicions out loud, we keep them quiet, and then when we finally come to the conclusion that we have been looking for we step forward and do what it is that we must do, because the truth has awakened the sleeping lion within us and we know that justice must be done, and the truth known. The spark is ignited within, and it will grow and grow with each revelation and unanswered question, until finally we cannot take the injustice anymore.
°
Depending on how weakened our own spiritual state is when we were “taken in” when we were lied to, we may take a short or long time to figure out who we shouldn’t be trusting, and who we should trust.

Please never be angry or disappointed in yourself because it took you a long time to figure it out. Narcissist types are experts at seducing the mind of innocents (you, when you were younger) and they trick us into doing what they want us to do.
