Brother FS60X Extra-Tough Computerized Sewing Machine

This is the sewing machine that I use the most.

  • Powerful motor and metal frame for heavy duty sewing
  • Stitches through 8 layers of denim
  • 60 Built-in Stitches
  • Easy to use
  • Needle threader
  • Speed control

What I like about this sewing machine is that it can go through many layers of denim, and even though it is not a Industrial machine it still is good for tactical sewing making tactical gear.

A very nice feature that I have used a lot is the ability to use the sewing machine without using the foot pedal, instead the user unplugs the sewing machine foot pedal and then presses a Start-Stop Button and the sewing is completed without using the foot pedal.

This is very useful for sewing long lines such as curtains and also when Overcasting.

The Back-Stitch Button is very useful and if you hold it down it sews longer.

Another feature is the Speed Controller Slider that lets you adjust the speed of the machine for whatever you are sewing from slow, to medium ot fast.

The Needle Up and Down Button is very useful. If you finish sewing you can then just press this button to raise the needle. I use this all the time and I have found this to be a very helpful useful feature that makes the sewing much more enjoyable. This buttons function is simple, but once the user gets in to the habit of using uit them he or she will use it often.

The FS60X comes with a Semi-Automatic-Needle-Threader
I find this a helpful way to thread the needle and use it all the time.

So far I have used this sewing machine for denim, canvas, curtain material and clothing.
