Stop and Think-Look for “the Lesson”- be Paused in Thought.

An interesting practice that I read about years ago which is designed to help people face life in a more mature way is to teach ourself to look for “the lesson” in every situation that happens in your own life, and other people’s lives as well.

To do this a person needs to train the mind to “Stop and Think” when something happens before reacting to the situation. And to be mindful of our own thoughts, reactions (in the past), and to think about what our first reaction is.

For instance if someone does something wrong to you how will you immediately react?
What did you do in the past?
Did you get happy, angry, frustrated?

If we stop and think about what just happened we are “Paused in Thought
And this gives us time to consider

All the best from James Martin Sandbrook.
