I was outside doing some work and I felt a strong feeling to come inside and write about “The Weak Church.” Maybe God is worried about someone going off the track by following the already lost and foolish.

There are so many denominations and doctrines and hard liners and excuses and such. Many churches are very popular today and much of that popularity is that they do not preach the Word of God as God sees it, they preach what is popular because it gives them fame, self-importance (especially at seeing the congregation happy) and they get lots of money coming into the church.

When Noah preached to those people who were breaking all the laws of decency and had no moral standards Noah was standing firm and preaching the fire that burned in his heart and that fire was put there by God – ti was wisdom fueled with love for the lost. Even though what he preached was unpopular he preached it just the same and Noah did not change the message to suit the world or the people. Noah could easily accepted that the people wouldn’t listen and he could have told them what they wanted to hear, the tithes would have come along thick and fast and Noah and the wife could have retired with a nice big house and lots of cool hard cash to tie him over for many years.

Noah taught what God told him and didn’t bow to humankind’s demands. All preachers, servants of God are ‘called” to do the same. All God’s great preachers including Jesus taught God’s law, not humankind’s doctrines etc.

Matthew Chapter 23, verse 23:
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

The reason for the preaching was to bring the lost away from the clutches of Satan and back to the love of God. People needed to know about Salvation and a big change of lifestyle.

The Weak Church is not held in high regard by God and they survive by their tithes not by God’s blessings. To the congregation a big building and a flash church etc gives the impression of God’s blessings when they reality is that the preacher preaches what they want to hear and they pay him to give them what they want.

Revelation Chapter 3, verse 13:
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Revelation Chapter 3, verse 15-17:
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

God does not like the church that sits on the fence refusing to make a strong stand against evil. The weak church has a fear of losing the congregation and the money and high position that they may have. Their sympathy for the sinner is so strong that it outweighs what is right or wrong. They love the sinner and do not correct the sin. True love for the sinner is to show them the new way – All things become new.

The preacher is the servant of the people. His work is not to let the people tell him what to preach. The preachers guidance is to only come from God. That example is shown all through the Bible and it is a strong signal not to bow down to the peoples demands because it is those very people that God wants out of evil’s clutches and to know about Salvation and how to avoid evil for the rest of their lives.

Watering down God’s will is a very foolish thing to do, very foolish indeed. It serves no good purpose and keeps the work of evil alive and well in the hearts of those who think that they are following God.

Isaiah Chapter 5, verses 20-24:
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Matthew Chapter 23, verses 8-35:
But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.
Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.
And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.
Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

As it was back then it is today. Be careful who you follow who gives you advice because if they are wrong, along with them you will pay the price. In the church their are those who will pat you on the back, tell you everything is alright and that you can go and do something bad like being a woman marrying another woman, The Bible is clear on this, it is modern weaknesses and sympathy for those who are lsot that cause the religious people of this time to lead people astray. The blind leading the blind into a ditch.

Matthew Chapter 15, verse 14:
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Be wise and follow tried and true preachers and even if they are pushing you to change for the better, welcome that change with open arms.

The Weak Church though often popular will only get you so far, be weary and wise because it is your life and your future you are worrying about.

Matthew Chapter 11, verses 27-30:
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

All the best from James M Sandbrook.
