I was looking around on the Internet and found some people in a group writing about their pasts, what they should do, and so forth. I like to help them, offer advice and so forth.
One woman had written that she was unsure about telling her current partner, a very nice man, about her past because it had been so casual sexually and she had done a lot of immoral, indecent, sexual acts with no boundaries, and sometimes slept with up to 5 men at a time, had slept with about 20 women, and as I remember it, over 150 men.
She said that an ex partner had called her a whore when she told of her past exploits and she didn’t want the current nice guy to do the same, but she still felt that she should tell him.
But the thing is, is that at the end of her writing she told of how she was not ashamed in any way of her past sexual exploits in any way, and in fact she enjoyed them very much, and she saw no wrong in what she had done.
You may have had this happen to you, or someone who you knew or read about it. A partner gets caught having an affair or the past was found out, and once caught he or she cries, tells sad stories of how they were a victim and should not have done what they did, and now they claim to never want to ever do it again and please forgive that person – and a year later they are up to it all over again, probably get caught all over again, out come the genuine regrets and such – but see, the tears are not for regrets of what he or she did, the tears are for the fact that they were caught out and he or she didn’t like that.
The reason that they go back to the past is that he or she really did not regret what they did, they regretted getting caught.
The woman with the bad past does not regret that past, and even if she humbly tells the nice guy, you can be 100% sure that sometime in the future that a person who does not regret their past completely and fully will do it all over again – because he or she actually did like it, and would (in the back of their mind) like to do it all over again sometime in the future.
Nice people who have a low sex body count will get fooled by the humble act, the tears, the genuine regrets for being caught out or feeling guilty for the past, and then forgive that person – and some years later it all happens all over again, and that is why Repentance is the only way to be sure of a person’s real change.
Some religions encourage ex-sinners to publicly admit what they used to do and how they have changed, regretted their past, have changed and even taken those of the past who were criminals to court and so forth to cleanse themselves of the past and its harmful effects on their lives.
Always remember that when a person is caught-out, feeling ashamed, and feeling guilty, he or she will cry, seem very regretful for what they did, and will promise in that moment to never do it again so that he or she can keep you with them, but without actions of repentance these are merely just words that give the good soul genuine hope, only to be stabbed in the back in the future, because the guilty one really did like the bad things that he or she did.
Please always remember, an apology is Not change, an apology is merely words said in an emotional way because that person at that moment does regret something, but it is not enough to actually do something about it or truly repent, its just words.
And being just words then he or she can go back to what they truly do not regret and really did enjoy.
One of the reasons why good people live unhappy lives even though they are good people, is that they allow themselves to be fooled over and over again thus inviting constant lies and liars in to their lives.
Being humble and nice does not mean being gullible and foolish, please try to remember that.
