When a woman already has a baby which has no father in the home then she has a big advantage of finding the right man by seeing his reaction to her child. You see, to be a good parent one needs to be patient, willing to put baby first even if it is not their own baby.
Watching the mans reaction patience, love, compassion for the child shows her what he will be like for her as a husband.

Today many people look with the eyes and then they judge the partner by their physical sexual feelings for him, his looks, how the other girls chase after him, popularity, even his material worth etc.
But a single mother shouldn’t have time for fools and such, what she wants is someone who will be very good for her in all ways, especially as a responsible, caring, kind, gentle man who will take time out to help you look after baby and care for them both.
She needs a man with courage who stands up for what is right, not some easy going let it ride type, because he will be like that with her and baby, he just won’t really care.
In days of old, mothers took time to show their daughters what a strong reliable decent man was worth to her and their future children,. and women focused on getting that steady responsible hard working man, because for her and the children he would be steady, courageous and would stand by then with his life.
The Bible mentions the virtuous woman, but she also needs that strong able courageous man herself, and for their children. The good character goes both ways.
