Kogan N300 AC Wi-Fi Range Extender

I decided to move my computer to another part of my house, but the WiFi setup was at the other end of the house and so I decided to try a WiFi Extender.

The first I tried was thios Kogen N300.

I followed the instructions and set it up as the instructions  stated and for a while it worked and then it stopped working.
The unit worked fine, and the signal was good, but for some reason it was unable to extend the signal to the other side of my house.

That, basically, was my experience with this unit. I got my one from Dick Smith which is owned these days by Kogen.

Dick Smith was one of the most favourite places in the world for me when I was into electronics and learning the trade.
Back then it was known as Dick Smith electronics, and inside was a large amount of electronics parts, books, and all sorts, it was like a candy store for a child to me. I never left the store empty handed and I was always carrying away electronics parts so that I could fix, repair, experiment and make some new electronics projects, just to see if I could do it and get the huge buzz when it worked.
Sadly, that version of Dick Smiths is gone.

I decided to try another more expensive WiFi extender, and that is my next review.

All the best from
James Martin Sandbrook.
