Being Depressed is not Permanent or Being a Failure.

Sometimes life gets us down and we feel that we are so lost, no where to go, no one to help us, and at its worse we can believe that as a person we are useless, and that means of no use to anyone and of no use to ourself, a total failure.

People sometimes may think that they are trapped or stuck in a rut in life but are really simply controlled by fears. I remember being in great depression, frightened of going anywhere, terrified of people, and scared to do some of the simplest tasks.

It may seem strange to consider this but fears, guilt’s and lack of self belief leads us to believe that we are trapped and cannot escape. Many people just simply accept their fate and stay as they are, miserable until they die.

We can see invisible bars holding us in the prison that we imagine is there. It could be built from our own fears, or from other people’s fears, or from peoples wild imaginings and lies, gossip and circumstantial evidence, whatever the prison is built from it can be a mighty wall between you and freedom.

A steel physical wall or concrete walls offer some form of escape to the clever, but imagined walls built by fears, worries, false beliefs, culture, traditions, friends, society, failures, etc can’t be battled so easily because they are surrounding our suffering hearts from the inside, we can’t grab and break these chains. We must change our attitudes.

A fact that probably not many people know is that many of the most successful people have been in deep depressions during their lives and have even thought to end their lives . But they overcome that mental state and with faith cast that mountain aside and moved onwards to much better lives helping the many.

I believe that Satan knows that these people are going to do wonderful things for God and for the world so they are heavily emotionally and spiritually attacked while young and have had their confidence destroyed – often their biggest enemy is their very own family, sometimes friends as well, and things that they were guided into doing which ashamed them later when older. God takes these torn souls and brings them back to life and for the original purpose that they were born for.

God did not intend for us to live in slavery, Satan did. God offers us chances and Satan takes them away by simply convincing us to turn away from them. Christ is Salvation and freedom, security and happiness.

We must try to even when we feel that we are trapped and miserable. Even Christians can say that they follow God and yet live in fears, worries and feel trapped and unhappy for the rest of their lives.

Even with time passing misery can feel comfortable especially when compared with getting out of one’s comfort zone and having to deal with one’s life.

I am always encouraging people to step out of their comfort zone but sometimes something comes up and I don’t want to do it but I face it because it has to be done and all of us need to develop this attitude. We must tell ourselves that we must do what we must do because our soul depends on it and our spiritual growth and the development of our life depend on us facing the challenges that are set before us.

Just be sure that what the challenges are from God and that you do the right thing by following God.

If you feel trapped right now and cannot seem to break free then now is a good time to evaluate your life and try to discover where and why you are in the position that you are in. There is a good chance that you may be as you are simply because you are allowing people (for whatever reason) to make choices for you, control you, or traditions etc are choosing for you. Break those chains, you will never regret it.

You were born to be courageous and to walk the earth free and strong capable and able to do wonderful mighty things. Society tells us that we can all be great and only a few ever achieve it, but God offers good love blessings and greatness to us all for eternity.

All the best from
