Archimedes

Archimedes is thought to be one of the greatest mathematicians of all time along with Newton and Gauss.

Archimedes father was Phidias, an astronomer.

Archimedes proved to be a master at mathematics, spent most of his

time contemplating new problems to solve. Like most dedicated people he sometimes even forgot to eat, because he was so involved in his work. He was also a great inventor.

Archimedes the great mathematician, was a very good friend of King Hiero and Archimedes would solve the kings problems for the king at the amazement of the sovereign. Archimedes used his ability to invent weapons to defend the city against attack.

Archimedes ideas were practicle and he was a great thinker as well as a mathematician, for he would think out a problem to get the desired answer he wanted.
